Na, I realised all my mistakes after being arrested a few
weeks ago. I've moved back in with my parents and I'm
actually listening to their advice now. going back to
school, working, given up drugs (for personal reasons), etc.
I like where I am now and I'm certainly calming down a lot.
I'm so sick of fucking up. Whatever.

Well, I've got this one I'm trying to convert now, but I
just realised it is a trial version, so I can only convert 5
minutes of the full WMV to iPod video.

I'll keep searching though, unless anyone here with half a
brain can give any assistance.

Just find a torrent for WinAVI converter? Less than 4Mb and
works a treat.

you can use mencoder from the mplayer package" (at least if
the file doesn't have DRM crap in it)
type something like this:
mencoder -oac mp3lame -ovc xvid -xvidencopts fixed_quant=2
-o output.avi input.wmv

you may need the wmv codec to decode properly

I was using one called winavi converter i got from a
torrrrent but i dunno if it can turn shit into mp4 probably
not but im sure you can find one that will!

to mux things into an mp4 container you can use mp4box (YAMB
is a nice gui for it)
