I guess I downloaded a file called:

The.Simpsons.S19E01.PROPER.PDTV.XViD-YesTV.3817422.TPB.torr
ent

Now what do you do with it? & with that many
dots/extensions, do you just blindly hope its not a virus?

as it finishes with .torrent it looks like you're safe.
just download some torrent program. and once thats
installed, open the torrent file and thats just about it..

Thanks. I just downloaded and tried that... I think I'm
gonna uninstall all this now actually. The potential to be
haxorcized multiplied by my non-1337ness makes taking 5
hours to download 1 simpsons episode not really worth it I
guess.

I'd much prefer simpsons/futurama streaming ala allsp.com,
but I can't find any. Allsimps doesn't work anymore- anyone
know of any?

the important thing about torrents is finding a good source.
at the moment mininova.org and eztv are my sources for tv
shows. so long as you have a trustworthy source youre fairly
safe from viri.

yea, torrents are all about good seeds... also, preferrably,
you can get whole series/seasons of TV shows pretty easily
that way - if, that is, you have seeders aplenty... for
individual episodes, net streams ought to do, unless you
worry about quality too much

god.. i haven't seen a new episode of the simpsons in so
long

i'd heard it had changed for the worse, but jesus.. it's
like an entirely different show now :/

That first episode was probably the least funny of the 7 or
so I've since watched. Many of the others remain almost 100%
true to the original basic formula. The one thing that
changed is a minor amount of extra violence is allowed as
paved by southpark, heh heh.

But I remember previous seasons I had on dvd almost always
had a few pockets of terrible episodes (usually in a row)
surrounded by great joke-saturated episodes. My theory is
that there is a small handful of really creative people who
by now like to take breaks, so pass it over to the boring
idiot committee of creators when they go on vacation.
