I know that it is like "ordinary music" for many people,
oriented to dance, but I like, I was born in 1980 and this
music remembers my childhood, and I also think that many
songs was/are good and funny, sometimes dark (in some
aspects), also there were many good producers, the analog
synth sounds were brilliant, and that fresh melodies...
somebody here enjoys this music?

Add 'Latin/Miami Freestyle' to the list.

i'm sorry but what has italo disco to do with hi-nrg ?

its not latin, it just happend to initially gain popularity
among latino areas in the states (miami, los angeles, san
jose), thus the name. It sometimes is also called
high-energy (hi-nrg) it evolved from Italo-Disco and itself
influenced pretty much all Madonna-like pop music in the mid
80's.

I see hi-nrg more as the freestyle stuff which came later. I
love that too, but not on the same level as italo, which is
genuinely the most FUN music out there. And not in a
retro/gimmicky sort of way either... it's just genuinely
good music. I love it.

Oh yeah big fan of Italo-Disco, your description is pretty
close to what I like about it, I also like the fat analog
basslines (ala Moroder), you don't hear those kind of
basslines anymore.

there's a club here that plays high energy and italo music
only. the owner is some guy named patrick miller (google it)
and supposedly a legend of the genre. i've heard that going
there is one of the weirdest experiences you´ll ever have.

Righeira Vamos A La Playa

Haha my dad is always playing that track he loves it! My
brother would get mad because he is a dipshit who only
listens to dark ambient (not correlated).

What I like about italo-disco is also the futuristic & space
themes but without being too serious about them.

haha... yes, I totally agree, I think that this song is very
well produced indeed, the synthesizers are brilliant also,
listen with headphones...

I love that shit. I'm from 84, but i remember it pretty
clearly as well. I'd also like to mention Mike Mareen and
Kano.

Kano

Very good riff. They also made the classic "i'm ready".

Mike Mareen

Yeah!
