Led Zeppelin - Mothership

Anyone heard it yet? I have the albums lying around, so
songwise it's redundant, but I'm wondering about the quality
of the remasters. It might just encourage me to pick it up.
The tracklist is pretty awesome anyway, although it lacks
Rain Song from HOTH, which is really atrocious. The Physical
Grafitti picks are excellent, though.

it's got all the tunes you've heard too many times. stick
with the original vinyl, i say. the fact that it's missing
"misty mountain hop" is a deal breaker...wait, it's missing
"custard pie" as well. and maybe it was on a lame
posthumous comp, but "we're gonna groove" should have been
on there.

i'm voting "no" on proposition mothership.

Even though "it's got all the tunes you've heard too many
times" you should check out the triple disc live album that
came out a while back, How the West Was Won(?). Most of the
songs become even more violent and amazing live! Led
Zeppelin is the most rock band-ish rock band ever! I always
say this. (Howlin' Wolf also)

It's a compilation? Why is it worthy of discussion?

Not a huge fan but Led Zeppelin always sounded
awesome, I never really wanted remasters. I loved the way
Page miked the drums.

the "Moby Dick" drum solo alone was gold.

doesn't get much better.

I haven't heard this yet, but I'd love to get a chance to
check out how Zep sound remastered. Though, I also tend to
agree with Ophecks. I've always liked the mastering/mixing
on the original songs, but I'd still like to hear Mothership
for the novelty.
