Lol @ Gwarek2

Maybe you need to unplug and plug back in
Control + alt + delete
New batteries

Needs a little tune up/cleaning like a car or bike

what do you have it plugged into? it needs to go to
something that applies the riaa curve, like phono inputs on
a stereo receiver

im not running it by a hamster treadmill :)

its plugged intot eh wall obviousl.
using the phono input aswell, though i dont see how that
would make an impact on the spinning speed.

its a Lenco Quarz L-3807, magnetic direct drive.
basically a technics clone.
hifi forums suspect a bad soldering upon same queszions
asked by another. recommendation to chuck it out the window
and buy new.

i was tempted to throw tech out the window, im not willing
to give up this one yet. im kind of a butcher when it comes
to soldering though and i wouldnt even know where to start.
dont have a measuring device either. nor a solder suction
thingie.

i rellay wished though it had the finesse of little lord
faulteroy

if i tear it apart these days i would start looking at the
solders and mechanism connected to the pitch. sound the most
promising place.

one of the many things sadly lost in the chaos after my
father's passing was... his mind-blowingly minimal
turntable. it was literally just a 60hz motor synchronized
off of the AC power cycle and a drive belt.

that once it was playing when the power went out, and...
yeah. the sound was everything you could have hoped for

update:
it works again!
turns out, all it needed was good greasing...
of course i only found out after digging up the spare jaytec
player from the cellar, reaplacing it, dismantling the slow
one and checking the connections and board for broken parts
or melted thingies.
while i was at it i felt the movemnt was a bit hard.
it always is a bit tough to spin as you would have to work
against the magnets in the bgeinning, but it was just a
little greasy more sticky to be precise,
so a bit of silicone spray apparently did the trick. there
was also a previously fixed soldered connection which i
touched and bent, but my guess is it just was the greasing.
hope it keeps playing now. it worked though for the past
days.
