Google has indexed this thread properly so I was able to
find the this releases proper home.

We're in the middle of an xlt-spam drive so let's give this
its due.

Listened to both tracks all the way through while driving,
so between 100% and 75% attention given. The beatwork is
truly terrific. Reminds me of a stripped down Otto Von
Schirach at points, and gescom (obviously).

The first half of pendulu hv moda is a great choice for this
long form remix, as it's slow and somewhat sparse. It's my
favorite track on Elseq after feed1. These days though, I
tend to just skip straight to the second half, to revel in
that cascading, growling, alien robot waterfall. The first
half of pendulu is good too, but it doesn't keep me coming
back the way the second half does.

You extracted a lot from it and made it your own. Honestly,
I may prefer it to the source material itself. There are so
many good bits. I made a note of a lot of them, but frankly
this entire project is solid so pointing out each would be a
touch redundant.

Instead I'll just point out my absolute favorite bit.
cropped n stewed (part 2) from 21:28 to 22:08. I rewound
that bit like 5 times, and just listened to it several more
while typing this. It's absolutely fucking slamming. Whole
body moving that in my car. 40 seconds wasn't enough, I
seriously wish this was a full length 5 min track. It'd hold
up to some melody. Fleshed out, it would prolly be my single
favorite tune of the year.

Great release. I gotta fish out my bandcamp password and
toss a little support at you, yann and umbroman sometime in
the next week.

The west has a bit of a culture of too much "affirmation."
You're worth it hon! Everything you do is beautiful! I don't
think that generally encourages honing skills the way
praising actual effort does.

that said--

Art needs a few sets of eyes and ears as encouragement, it
simply does. "Why bother making music if no one is gonna
listen to it" is a sad reason to stop zeroing in on
potential. It's crazy but just a few comments can go a long
way to giving someone the self-drive to make the next tune.

My last comment is that this whole release has a lot of
reversed small sounds that give the effect of speeding up
the next bar slightly. A lead in reversed snare makes the
next drums come in a little faster, or something. It's an
effect I was already aware of, but maybe I forgot about it
over time.

I'm gonna steal that and reverse me up some sounds in my
next project. Have to avoid going overboard with it though.
