to me, a person never likes his/her own stuff. because a
person's first problem is about his/her own existance.
really...

i'd listen to my own music all the time, IF i made any..

i just can't picture richard walking down the street with
DrukQs in his headphones, or chillin in his bank with it on
the stereo. i dunno why

My bank of 50 or so unfinished electronic projects is so
terible that...well you just have to laugh as well!

I even put a cd together of my unfinished projects just for
a laugh! 60 minutes of complete rubbish on a cd.

Sometimes my tracks are so ridiculously fast they're just
crazy. Some are pure noise when my synth went into total
overdrive...

Some even are purely the sound of a tap dripping or a
cracking record...samples I made myself from scratch on the
synth.

ive read in interviews that aphex and squarepusher only
really listen to the music they made and that of their
friends
..remember when aphex supposedly lost his mp3 player..it was
filled with unreleased aphex and squarepusher tracks

Yeah that'd be awesemo to have found that.
I'd totally mail it back to him, but I'd probably burn the
mp3s first hehe
and upload them :)

Toejam do you have liek real long hair tied back? Coz I
might have walked past you on the way in. I dropped into
dadas afterall (went into town to buy tix to some raves at
last minute).
If so I was the dude in a business suit and shit with
ridiculous spikes in my hair just about to walk down the
stairs :)
You get anything?

Od: Nah, I didn't end up going to Dada's and I don't have
really long hair tied back, just like normally long hair.

Shame, it would've been cool to see you there! Really sorry
bro. :-\

We'll have to meet up some day at like a certain time
outside Dada's/78's whatever. Like on a weekend, maybe?

toejam, you should try lobster tracks if you havn't. your
track had a similar feel, only not as complete and
wackified. It got better in the middle though. the drums
didn't go great with it, but they weren't too bad.

offline od_step_cloak from Pleth (Australia) on 2002-12-08 23:41 [#00473953]

Yeah sure no probs I'll email you sometime about it prolly
in the next few weex.
Probably ahve Alky from WATMM there and Modex and shit.

Yeah, cool. Sounds great :)

But not this week if it's possible, cause I'm up in
Darlington staying with my aunt and uncle. They have a huge
house up there and lots of space to run around in.

Should be cool, unfortunatly they don't have the internet at
their house so I won't be able to chat here and answer
emails and shit. This weekend I'm kinda busy, but on Monday
I'll be free for the next two weeks. Can we do it then, Od?

Send me an email now if you want.

w M w: Thanks, I'll check out Lobster. By the way I have
really basic programs to work with, so that's why it's a
little plain.

If only people here could work with the programs I use, then
they'll see how difficult it is to get some half-interesting
sounds.

I'll stop rambling now. =D

I only use a simple program called modplug tracker but
extract interesting sounds from it. ex.
www.mp3.com/artificialselection "the flush of mr. squiggles"

Same, I've just finished one. Thinking about putting it in
to 78 Records. It's not that good tho. I use really dodgy
old programs =\
