George, when we die let's donate our bodies to science so
they can compare our wrinkly grey brains and figure out why
we disagree on this. :-)

Lol,
going to the cinema with you must be an interesting
experience! ;-) What with all the crying, vomiting,
screaming, blood-pooping and falling over. I bet the
cinema-personel are just thrilled whenever they see your
face :-p

I wonder how you react when you actually like a movie
though?

im sure they dont have it yet
its pretty new film-it has won cannes film festival this
year
its very much alike schindlers list
only thing in common with titanic is that this one is even
more spectacular

the thing is i dont like this films about jews during II
world war
always the same story-you seen one you seen the all
i mean if there wasnt so much about jews, and more of an
story about this guy (pianis) it would be much better
there is just too many cliches it this film for me to like
it
but its very very spectacular

(your avatar really scares me by the way. I'm a mailman, and
there's this one route i have to deliver mail sometimes...
and one of the houses (thailandstraat 30, to be precise) has
a dog that looks just like your avatar. Thank god the door
is always closed, so it can't devour me. But the door has
one of those little cat-doors at the bottom, and he always
sticks his head through there (i fear the day it'll be able
to squeeze it's entire body through it...)... and barks at
me with a look in it's eyes like it wants to kill me... long
threads of drool dripping from it's mouth... it's a real
monster! :-p)

But uhm... yeah, i thought Schindler's List was excellent
and very moving, one of the few recent movies that has made
me cry. I'm sure you probably hated it though ;-). I'll have
to see about going to the cinema's... i wanna read some
reviews in the newspapers first.

I quite liked Schindlers List.. it is quite moving,
beautiful cinematography.. Neeson is kind of bland, Fiennes
is spectacular as the nazi.. the whole clearing out of the
polish ghetto is pretty awful, but well done..

I did think the thing with colouring in of the girls coat
was a bit much.. we get the point, it was indescribably
awful.. and the ending with all the survivors walking by..
mm..

Well i never thought this day would come. But then at last
we can agree about a movie! I've seen his film "Existenz",
and thought it was really great...! I loved the way he
messed with my mind and i never knew what was real and what
not... very nice.

It's very simple ;-)

Forrest Gump --> good
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas --> bad

The entire mb seems to disagree with me though :-p

mm yes.. cronenberg is really good in the eerie way he plays
with the weakness and vulnerability of the human body.. also
the degeneration of the human body because of old age..

you can see that in "ExistenZ" in all the organic gaming
gear, the gun made of bone and teeth.. creepy..

"I did think the thing with colouring in of the girls
coat was a bit much.. we get the point, it was indescribably

"

nono... you don't understand. We (the audience) already got
the point. But that coat was what made him get the
point.

"and the ending with all the survivors walking by..
mm..
"

i get the feeling you don't like sentimental feelings ;-)
Well it could have been a bit ... mmm... i guess. But the
fact that it was real, and those people were not actors made
it very impressive i thought.

japanes-actually asian cinematographers
i just love asian cinema
saw two really wonderful films asian films a week ago

2.maillenium mambo
both absolutely brilliant
ful of emotions and beautiful scenes

what is wrong with celine dion? i can't get into that
music, it annoys me actually, but she's totally serious
about her artform. it's rumoured that she's opening a
theater that will be exclusive to her performance in las
vegas. cirque du soleil will be collaborating for the show
and of course she'll be wearing some unbelievable martain
diva outfit. i'd totally see that show if i were in vegas.

if you like sentimental films you're missing great deal
asians are the masters when it comes to emotions
i mean they dont even have to say anything-this is what
bothers me the most about american films-they always talk to
much

nothing is wrong with her... she seems very serious and
passionate about what she does. I just don't personally like
what she does. If Ventolin would have been the
titanic-soundtrack that would have been really great for me,
but the papers would have been full of: "fantastic movie!
must see... but what's with that horrible
soundtrack?!
"... and now it's the other way around ;-)
The newspapers like it, i don't.

talking can be good... but i agree sometimes silence is
better :-) It takes a really good actor to convey emotions
without talking though...

So good actors must live in asia :-p I'll look into it!

about her "art-form".. its sentimental (teehee), trite
drivel..
