whoops, didn't mean to start a big political debate with this. I just think president Bush is very... "amusing", and this picture made me laugh so hard :-p It fits completely with the image i have of Bush... i'm sure if you know him in person he's a really sweet guy. But for a president!? I think the people behind him are the people who really run the country (i don't mean behind him in this photograph, but in general)... and he is just their spokesperson. They probably said to him: "hey george, you should make a trip out to the army-base and have yourself photographed whilst hanging out with these soldiers, it'll be great PR!" The great David Letterman also had a real funny clip of him when he was moving into the whitehouse. You could see how he walked through a room, and when he saw there was a photographer in the room he helped one of the movers by lifting up a cabinet, and then smiled at the camera whilst his picture was taken. As soon as the picture was taken he dropped the heavy cabinet and just left the poor mover-guy to carry it all by himself ;-) So why shouldn't we make a little fun of him? With Clinton i always got the impression he was serious about his job and actually wanted to do good. But with Bush... pfff... |

Funny how the person who brought up this post isnt even American...He is the United States of America president...Everyone one of you sit here trash talking a president that has nothing to do with you...... Other people have already said the same, but that is just a ridiculous statement! I always get the impression (not on this board, but whenever i read something about USA) that alot of americans hardly realize there are also other countries besides their own. But over here things are very different and ofcourse we are also interested in what happens in america, because it concerns everyone in the whole world! Bush is about to lead us all into a WW III! His decision to ignore the Kyoto Protocol also has had a great effect on the entire world :-/ |
