This mouse actually has a bit of a point... newbies may come here, totally new to Aphex Twin, ask for a top 10 list or something, and then get laughed at and brushed aside for making a topic that has been done to death... kind of harsh. And you could say, ''well, use the search topic'', but really, nobody wants to read old shit... opinions change all the time, some of my old top ten lists are probably NOTHING like what I'd do now... That said, don't spam the boards, that's an awful lot of posts up there that could be said in ONE, and don't use us to ''cure boredom''... jerk off instead. |

+how about the fact that a thread dedicated to all the users with less than 500 points has only been noticed by users with more than 500 points?...this did not work out as planned at all + maybe because you called the thread.. mb discrimination?...and not mb discrimination only members with 500 posts or less need apply... but then again then you are instigating another form of discrimination (against people with over 500 posts) while decrying a an alleged discrimination... maybe it doesnt have much to do with the number of posts...maybe your status..which says Lurker..has a bit more to do with it...you are not contributing often enough to start complaining... personally I have always looked at and replied to your threads even though you repeatedly try and insult me and try and call me immature and juvenile for my age..(you were being an ageist then dont you thingk..why cant i be silly when I want to be even if I old?..but that's beside the issue).. anyway for your information..the first thing I look at when I am reading and replying to a thread..is the subject and not the id of the person who posted it...if the subject interests me I click regardless of who posted it..if the subject line is kinda vague..I look at the user id..and if it's someone I know..then I go and and look at the thread knowing that I can always but in a message..oi, what the hell are you on about..explain your self...etc..without causing offence to the person.....because they probably know me aswell..and know that I have a somewhat caustic sense of humour and never mean to offend anyone... |

yep...the trick is to create interesting topics that other people wanna contribute to....and unfortunately Tops 10s have been done to death, so don't expect a huge amount of interest in em... No-one cares about who starts a thread or how many points they have; they post if they have something to say.... |

well my 2 cents..... you're totally mistaken in your thinking that because you're a newbie you won't get any participation from those who've been on here a while. like a lot of people have said, the key to getting peepz to comment is to start an interesting, strange, musical, art related topic that will get people talking and typing! i don't appreciate it and it shows a lack of respect for people to use this MB as a cure for boredom, thats a really lame EXCUSE and if you're bored....telling people you're bored will not get you to far and will peepz the wrong impression. don't expect others to un-bore you....that is up to YOU. |

my oh my, hasn't this strange little thread grown.. you'll get shit on any mb - believe me, this mb is very, very mild in comparison (for example, see the phorum on planet-mu, god save its soul).. imo, a bit of an edge on a mb does noone harm, spices things up a bit. |
