(my dad did some work w/ the government up there, brought me along)
it was early in the spring so it was cold and gray and rainy all the time..... :(
wouldn't it be weird if i passed you on the street there or something.. and we would never know....

well it was still here in Newfoundland, but in a smaller town called Springdale... only like 2000 people or so I believe... at least St. John's has 1 or 2 hundred thousand people...

"B3N! how have u been to so many places?"
Well, that's one of the great things about Europe, you can get across to different countries relatively fast and its even easier now to go abroad from Britain with the channel Tunnel linking us to france.
However, I don't like it when I hear the american concept of 'doing' europe in a week or so. I know holidays are shorter there but really you've got to set aside some time for each country to really experience them....they are all so vastly different from each other, the culture and mentality, you've just got to compare england against france!
So, the reason i've done a lot of travelling is mainly because my parents like travelling, as do I...i'm much more interested in culture rather than beach holidays (which i'm going to experience in a few week when I go to majorca with friends, yuk).
I'd like to think that seeing all these cultures i'm a better person for it. I mean, a lot of my friends just have been to florida or majorca over and over again. I mean, i'm not knocking them, but we've got so much open to us why not make use of it! In that sense I feel sorry for americans or canadians because so many don't leave the country. Ofcourse, places in america etc vary VASTLY in terms of terrain but often culture remains the same (to a certain extent)
However, I REALLY want to visit British Columbia and Toronto....I really wanted to go on an adventure holiday kayaking in BC this summer but none of my friends wanted to. However I know people on Toronto so maybe I can visit them sometime.

yes smokehammer!
I really REALLY want to go across Russia on the transiberian railway and then get the ferry boat to china...its one of my main ambitions
I feel there's so much out there I haven't seen and am excited just thinking about it. I'd see it as a waste if I just stayed here....I mean, I can settle down and get a proper job, but why not make the most while i'm young eh!?
however my father recently visited some place in deep Russia pasth the urals and he said it was utterly depressing...just tundra..

ya i know what u mean...
i guess thats the difference between a traveller and a tourist?
when i get older... or whenever i have enough money i'd like to travel a lot too... to experience different places/cultures/people/histories all that stuff... and of course see some beautiful places (bc)
ya, come to toronto! but make sure to come in the summer, not the winter!
its one of the most multicultural cities in the entire world.... actually, Manderin (i think) is supposedly more popular than english here
but everybody speaks english dont worry
it weird when i go to other places i always notice... well, how WHITE they are in comparison:)

I'm 27 , not 102 , I just try to look hard with me zimmer frame
Trans-Siberian to China .. I only want the train-ride, not to actually stop off on the way much, yeah its grim in Russia
But once in China & especially Vietnam, Its way more interesting , Cultural interests and also great diving @ Nha Trang , boating, Hills etc near DaLat, its gonna be a real adventure... still no-one is 100% committing to travelling with me, I mean its not like agreeing to a day out @ Alton Towers :0)

BC is great. Im sure you'll love it B3n. If you're big on skiing you'll have to check out Whistler (thats if you make it during the winter...or months around winter). World famous it is. Not too much to see in the city really...so just focus on our nature. :)
