the pi sound track got me into autechre. i recently bought incunabula, and while i don't think it's brilliant, it's a great album. i should probably listen to it more.
and on a second note how is autechre pronounced? my friend think its aw-te-cur i think its aw-tech-ruh

their other stuff is head and shoulders above Incunabula man... it is a good album, but nothing compared to their later stuff...

This is all strange to me, I grew up on LP5, without listening to old stuff first. It doesn't sound like Aphex Twin, but it was good enough for me. :S

Incunabla has my favorite Autechre moment in history... the Kalpol Intro/Bike tracks! After those two, the rest of the album is OK. But they did improve exponentially. Yes... exponentially! Respect my big word.

You know what's strange, I thought Aphex Twin was pronounce, A(short a)-phex Twin, but it's pronouced as A(Long A)-phex Twin.

love lp5... got it on vinyl recently! Acroyear works great with Richard Devines Remix of come to daddy and other glitch-squelch tracks... (you know what i mean)
But i downloaded Autechre live at Coachella recently and they fucking kick ass live..... just like the other greats, Aphex Twin and Squarepusher. No matter how good their studio work, their live tunes pushes everything over the edge. i cry with happiness at it all
