there we go, it's 'cause i just copied it from the "download
file" link, when i should've just copied it off the damn
email
technology is so complicated
and yeah my only complaint about the euro rack is there
isn't enough room between the different knobs, i always end
up moding two knobs at the same time, which usually pisses
me off (i.e. turn the bass up on the drum machine=
accidentally turning the bass down on the groove box)

but for a studio mixer, it's really not that bad

and for those who are curious my avatar is now sitting on
the korg electribe ea-1 (drum synthesizer) the turtle in
question actually left a little suprise on this particular
piece of gear, which is why you should never let turtles
play with your hardware- they can't be trusted- 'specially
turtles who've been tempted by the dark side of the um...
...
idunno- the dark side of electronic music (i.e. badboy bill,
dj scribble, etc...)

Turn the bass up on the drum machine and down on the groove
box? That sounds wicked!!!!

really? that's odd if they'd had that one at guitar center i
woulda bought it-

and yes it sounds great if you intended to do it (or if you
can convince people that it was intentional) but not if it's
accidental and you don't notice, and you're not sure why the
bass off the groovebox isn't showing up at all

the electribes??? i have 3 of 'em, definately tasty- not
much for production though-
anything realtime however, is perfect- if you're cool with
either using 4 beat measures or 3 beat measures
any other stats you'd wanna know?

good for you- i always say, it's got so little to do with
the equipment...
it's all about your own creativity- i could make a
reasonable track on any p.o.s. synthesizer and/or sequencer

aha, not on my yamaha cs1x, it makes everything sound
cheesy, I don't get it! they sound OK but then at the end I
realise they too cheesy. I'm all for thick sounds but its
pads sound kinda padded out if you know what I mean, nothing
interesting.

I know what you are saying though, that why I'm trying to
stay kinda minimal

light sabres are trendy. i'm not a huge star wars fan, i
just saw them and thought fuckin 'a i want one

i can dig that- if you're gonna get an electribe though- i'd
get either the sampler or the drum machine- and neither are
really that good for production (unless we're talking loop
production) the synth is crappy as all hell, the groovebox
(em-1) is okay- but it's all presampled crap, and the synths
are way pop culture, you wouldn't believe how many filters i
end up putting that through
and as far as the cs1x goes... no offense, but i'd just rig
up a keyboard to your computer, and go reason, much easier
interface, and a helluvalot easier for making an actual
track (since you can actually see all the relevant
information) but hey-
that's just me
the dark turtle has spoken

phatboy)

I'm getting a Creamware Luna II in a few weeks, DSP!

i can see that, too bad the midi on my computer lags now...
i've no idea why either, i've tried it with 3 different
sequencers, and 3 different chords, and 2 different sound
cards...
what could i be doing wrong?

i'm late on this. but i have a rainbow one because look at
my screen name, roygbivcore. it's the color spectrum.i
thought it would be much more fitting than just one color.
