This USA versus rest-of-the-world arguing is meaningless.
Without Europe we woudln't have any good electronic music,
nor would we have all the cool people on this board.

Every nation has good and bad points. Please don't take
global goon's comments seriously. He does not speak for all
of us.

ok. I like Canada a lot, iam proud of it. Americans can be
proud, ive been all around America and there is a lot of
really awsome stuff there. Just like everywhere else.

I think loving your country is something different than
being proud of it. I think it's only right to be proud of
something you did yourself. Trying to degrade other
countries is evil IMHO. Get to know other people before you
insult them.

I can understand Americans for being so nationalistic
because they had to swear loyalty to the flag since they
were kids. No wonder many of them act the way they do when
they grow up.

America is like a great empire. and like every great empire,
it'll fall.
then a new empire will take place, and then fall.
America is slowly reaching it's apogée.
in 50 years maximum, it'll begin to loose it's strengh...

there shouldn't be any boundaries: just another example of

I think it is very narrow minded to say something like
"Europe Sucks"..... We could all in turn slag off each and
everyones country but there wouldnt be much point in that.

As to Europe getting all of its technology from the
US.....get real, Ictroboy was right....the Japanese lead on
that front. The US probably get the stuff first because
thats the route the 'japanese ships' sail...dropping off
there high tech stuff in the US before going on to Europe
!!

Europe as a continent have a vast variety of cultures to
offer which the US can only inimate. You go to these places
in the US and they have districts with names like 'Little
Italy...' etc.etc. - we've got the real thing!

I'm not disrespecting any in the US, and it is a wonderful
place, but to a European who sees so much violence going on
in that continent, such as all the street violoence and
shootings in schools - I'm so glad I live on this side of
the Atlantic!

I met a rather wealthy apparently intelligent American when
I was over there in '97 with my parents and he said to us "I
could never imagine living in Europe. You've got everything
in the States."

Unfortunately that is the view of a large amount of
Americans. It's fed into them that they are the best and the
only nation worth thinking about. Everything else is
inferior.

Usually they are just unintentionally provocative due to
their ignorance of everything non US or non English.

There is a boy from North Carolina over here visiting our
school. He's my age as well and he said he's slowly
realizing why so many people hate the Americans. He's really
into learning the culture over here which is great. The
majority of the kids who come to our school from America
just seem to want to tell everyone how great America is and
don't bother to learn German at all. Why bother making the
trip over?

OK, I rambled a bit there but you get my point?
