Just picture it! :-p It'd be great! Leonardo & Kate Winslet
standing at the front of that ship... her arms spread wide
open, enjoying the feeling of flying...

and then: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii beep beep, thump thump
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii beep beep, thump thump thump
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
... yeah!

when I say I don't like sentimentality, I'm not saying I
don't like films full of emotion..

anyway, surrounded, on cronenberg - you have to see
"videodrome". its his best and one of his weirdest. even
more surreal than "existenz".

yeah, perhaps that would make it better :)
they should also put celine on fear and loathing piece :)

hm... somehow that title rings a bell... i think i've seen
that a long time ago. Wasn't it about some tv-program that
raped and actually killed women? That movie was like a bad
dream ;-)

Maybe now i'd be more prepared and able to enjoy it.

"they should also put celine on fear and loathing piece

"

yeah sure! :-p That way i wouldn't have to hear her ;-)
Besides, that movie can't get any worse, hehe... celine can
do no harm there.

surrounded-what music do you find emotional?-seriously i
mean
because for me susumu yokota makes one of the most emotional
music and his music was in quinxi manbo that i recomended-it
works great

i love how mariah carey is now back at her old music-style
again... hehe. First she tries to break away from it and
starts wearing less and less clothes, suddenly singing r'n'b
music. But when the sales dropped, she just went back to her
old style like nothing happened ;-) That new single of her
(before the rain? after the rain? i forgot... something with
rain i think) could have been released 8 years ago...

well i don't love her music at all, but it amuses me to see
her throw away her artistic integrity just to sell more cd's
;-)

artistic integrity ? do you think she knows what that is?
:))

um.. well.. it was on BBC2 about 6 months ago.. that isn't
exactly what happens in the film, but it is like a bad
dream, yes.. the soundtrack is very good too.. its by Howard
Shore, who now does LOTR (and quite badly imo).. but the
videodrome soundtrack (I have it on cd) is pretty
astounding.. electronica!

susumu yokota? I'm sorry, i never heard of him :-/

Emotional music can make a film much better! With the right
music, scenes that would otherwise be boring, can become
very emotional and intense.

For movie-music... i really liked the music in the piano and
and amélie. These are the two that spring to mind
immediately. Otherwise i don't know... i'd have to think
about that question.

But qrter informs me the mambo-film was just released here,
maybe i could go see it...

question...

i think i've seen it more like 6 years ago :-) I don't
remember the story very clear at all... but i do
think i've seen it... it all sounds so familiar... also what
the imdb writes about it.

hm... i can't seem to find any of his songs online (and i
don't have soulseek or any other program like that)

this looks pretty good though:
"not unlike the first forays of Brian Eno into the genre
he created in the early eighties. As with Eno but sorely
lacking in many current ambient releases, this is a music
eminently suitable as pleasant background music which, upon
closer aural scrutiny, unfolds its more complex secrets like
an origami swan. Yokota is a master of understatement, using
a voice that whispers but which rings out with the clarity
of its distinct, masterful command and sheer melodic
confidence. Words merely banalize the beauty of this
recording. Go and listen.
"

:-)

it installed on the new computer yet, but that can be done
in minutes ;-)
