I use SF daily. you can make pretty interesting sounds with
just the basic stuff installed.

I don't think I'd ever make a whole track in it. I made a
few tracks just in windows sound recorder a few years ago
though, so it's not impossible by any means :)

love Soundforge. Been using it for 4 years...still my
favourite editing, music making, everything software! Took
me a while to fully get into it, but when i did, i was
hooked. And hell, even Aaron Funk uses it!
