"unknown" is "direct to mental," from the japanese go
plastic cd.

The second CD of []pusher's newest album would be my
favorite album ever if it wasn't for the BLOODY bad
recording. I'm talking _so_ bad that I actually put the
disc in the trash. There's no reason for me to keep it.
ARGH why couldn't he just had a good quality soundboards??
why!!!

i still cant believe how poor the sound quality is. it's a
shame as it's one hell of a set he played.

the recording is not all that bad really

he seems to have recorded it from a mic held up in the
middle of the auditorium. why not record to DAT the output
of the mixer+add a mic input for the crowd??its not like he
has a budget limiting him to what he can use, equipment
wise!

It's at a huge outdoor festival, the quality is bound to
suffer slightly

It's not that bad,its just a bit tinny.No bass.
Sounds like it was recorded in a basement.
But its great still, its a great example of sq trying to rip
the listeners to shit on the floor.
Its even better to annoy the neighbours with!

this is about as high quality as you can get without being a
straight recording from the master.

this live set is so rad, it has to be one of the best sets
I've ever heard.

my opinions on live CD's

Greenways trajectary (track 8) is the best imo!

outdoors!?!? sounds like it was indoors to me! perhaps it
would sound better if i closed my eyes and got some mates
round to stand next to me and we could pretent it is
live.........or not.

commercially releasing live stuff from anything but
soundboard should not be allowed, imo. although i must admit
the sound on live in japan isn't that bad

yez knew i´d pop my head into this thread!

!. the sound quality
Well, i got a lot of "bad" recordings of electronica and i
kn¡inda like the rawness of it... sometimes stuff can be
too crisp. I wouldn´t have noticed it being a bad recording
had it not been for this board. I don´t mind plus i figure
Tom was ghappy enough with it to release it.. end of story

2. The gig. Eh... possibly my favevourite piece of music
ever! His set is very well contructed... but simply.. a nice
intro, followed by catchy "easy tracks", then a slow build
up "bonevill.." into absoulute sonic chaos before the
release of "angstromm". ..
The crowd is great too as is Toms vocal urges.... perfect

3. Its Outdoor
Yes i was amazed it was outside when i saw the video clip
(there are extra vocals too i think.. edited out for some
reason).... when i listen to it though, i have no problesms
visualising a sweaty indoor dark arena full of our jap
freinds having the mosty in intensist time of their generic
lives!!!
I saw SP live 2 years ago... hes out there on his own. No
fucking giving in, all energy, all heart.. he is THE master

tonepusher im in agreement...the live v. of greenways
trajectory has longer & more intense drilly bits and
therefore rules

what about "my fucking sound when" he shouts "TIME TO GO ON
FULL SPEED.......!!!!!" and notice how he utterly stretches
"i´m the fucking daddy" till it understatedly pops like a
bubble of washing-up liquid
