Okay update on the demo..all the discs have been burnt,
covers folded and stamps licked..it all going out the door
first thing tommorow morning..already suffering seperation
anxiety...

I decided to add another track to the lineup of three..to
smooth out the continuity a bit..here it is

Tinkerist Heart its actually even more abstract then the rest
but it's got a very pronounced melodic content..let em know
what you think..

here is the final line up of labels I am sending out to

Schematic
Tigerbeat6
Planet Mu
Mille Plateaux
Warp
Skam
Rephlex

I might be able send out a few more later..

you know, a while back i was listening to one of the tracks
you posted earlier... and suddenly the telephone rang... i
picked up and it was my little brother (we have 4 telephones
in the house, and they're also connected to each other... so
he can call me from downstairs when i'm upstairs etc.)...
and he asked rather aggressively: "What the hell?? Do you
think it's normal to make such a godawful noise? I can
hardly hear myself think!"

lol... and it wasn't even THAT loud, it's just your music
that seems to have that effect. But i was enjoying it! I
really like most of your songs. Tinkerist Heart is great
also.

I wish you the best of luck, and hope that you get some
positive reactions!

nice track, flea.

like how the melody comes peeping in now and then, like a
bad mother..

good luck with the demo's.

That was very good. Especially the beat, the melody was
awkward. It sounds like maybe you used that one effect where
on that one page it described it as "now you can bounce like
aphex twin" (that vst or whatever.)

ooo, good luck flea!

I'll have to download these 3 tracks, I've already got some
of urs and i like!

thanks for all the encouragement all of you guys..wouldnt
have gone out and taken the plunge if it wasnt for all the
encouragement I got from all of you..I just got back from
posting all of the demos..fingers crossed..

surrounded..that was a strangely appropriate reaction to
some of my music:)

Ceri JC-no I cant stop collaborating, especially since remix
of Tearing down Barns is still oneoffavourite tracks I have
done:)

Mickey Mouse-as always..thanks a bunch mate:)

Patrik..thanks..if you need some feed back on your tracks
you know where to find me:)

_awt_..thanks..I mean to check out your new track:)

qrter-I meant to ask is that you in the avatar?...I have
your copy of the demo ready and will be sending it out next
week...and about the melody like a bad mother..that made me
laugh :)

wMw- thanks:)The melody is awkward..because I started with a
clean cut straight out midi melody and then processed and
chopped it up..and no I am not using the "Bouncy" vst...and
neither have I used "Crazy Ivan" in a song yet..I mean I
have tried them but they are more like gimmicks
really..Bouncy brings out this god awful hissing feedback
out of my soundcard which just drowns everything else
out..it's just a stripped down, flanger anyway...and Crazy
Ivan is just... un managable....
I did all the processing here on Cool Edit Pro..so if you
have been meaning to get it..do so..it's brilliant...

mylittlesister-thanks:)...um I had to delete one of the demo
tracks from the knobject account..mud puppets is not on the
demo..both Porntorn and Tinkerist Heart are..and the first
track QoMA is here

Hey Flea, I just got the track (I wasn't at my house when I
first posted).

God damn. Very good call on adding this one to the demo.
Lovely sounds.

Hmmm... so Flea, what did you do before electronic music?
You've mentioned in the past that you used to have a bass...

thank you Clic:)..everything I have been into has been
partially electronic..starting with Casio SK-1 and CZ100
with Amiga 500 ..big Depeche Mode Fan Phase...then got into
Industrial... playing bass through distortion and various
other pedals..Flangers..Reverbs..then a detour into
Classical Guitar..then got sick of anything that sounded
like music..so got into noise...mellowed out into Noise
Rock..Electronic Industrial, Hard Techno (early Aphex) then
IDM...

bryce_berny..regarding Rephlex..I dont know they did put
out..Virtual Farmer..one of the bigger inspirations on
what's you are hearing there..

qrter-oay avatar mystery solved:) I will be sending yours
out next week too..so we might end up getting the CDs
simultaneously..:)

Flea, I DLed 3 of the tracks from you demo last night. Very
good, I really liked them. I think if you send this to a few
more labels you have a reasonable chance of getting signed.

As to what you said re: collaboration, I agree- I think my
remix of UTFM is one of my best remixes. Any time you want a
remix or want to collaborate on a track just email me the
.flp or details of where I can get the .wavs etc. :)
