I didn't see the point, you can download all the roms on the net and you can't see the screen in anything but certain daylight, wtf???

the GBA uses half the battery power (2 AA's) of the original game boys, and it lasted about a week
i still wish to purchase the power adapter tho

I've got a GBA and they're excellent. I only really use it for train journeys and for really addictive games.
GBA is perfect for killing time on the train or in other situations. I've got Final Fight One on it which is excellent plus a rally game both pretty addictive.

i have one. i feel ripped off by nintendo for having bought a game boy color about 2 years earlier. graphics are nice but nothing special, and the games cost a shitload of cash.
it could have been better. i wish they skipped the GBC.

Well then I'm not alone...D0ll
Jarwoski- I know what you mean, but it also comes with a mini light that gets in your way of the screen. GBA just seems like something to do while waiting for your next class to start =)

Games for the gamecube are 50 bucks--a lot of money but its worth it even though my sister is pulling out her hair trying to beat the "100 man melee"
I dont have one, so I'm going to defend it. but it still feels like something to have the games look a lot more fun and its more personal

I love GBA! However... I don't have one. I download the games and play them on emulators. The screen for GBA is intolerably small, I could barely make out items when I played my cousin's Castlevania on there.
But the games are great... a throwback to SNES, and I looooooove SNES, best system ever.
Wario Land 4 is amazing, you should all play it.

Yeah, I have the system, and it is definitely neat. Though, I'm waiting for the Advance player, so that I can play GBA games on the TV through the Gamecube.
And then, I'll be back in business with the good ol' SNES marathon days.

so nobody else thinks they payed way too much for it? that the games cost insanely much? that you can practically throw your 2 year old gameboy color system out the motherfucking window? christ. Nintendo let me down on this one :(
How long till they bring us an Advanced Ultra Gameboy Advance? i guess 1 or 2 years

I think the games are overpriced since they should cost hardly anything to produce because they're mainly old games. Still for those in the GBA business its got to be a good earner with the higher margins etc.
I think its the convenience for me. I wouldn't buy a GBA as a primary gaming system but as something which is portable to play on the train etc its perfect. I don't think people should perceive it as a primary game system, for that they should get a PS2.

i'd rather buy an old snes from a flea-market or something ;-)
I've been meaning to buy a GBA... but then i realised it was mainly for nostalgic reasons... sigh... how i miss super mario world! A link to the past! F-zero! The thought of playing them on a GBA excited me already... but now i realise how ridiculous that is... i wish i'd never sold my snes :-/ If i ever find one again, i'll just buy that :-)
I have an old gameboy... but i mainly play on that around the house anyway. Whenever i'm not at home... i don't have time for videogames at all. So i hardly get any advantage out of it being portable.

Check this out all you GBA owners, it sounds very promising indeed
"The VEIL-enhanced SD Card will offer something that no other iTV product can, the ability to interact with an encoded television content anywhere that the video signal can be seen, i.e. in hotels, bars, malls, etc. That means that if little Johnny is at Grandma's house viewing an encoded broadcast of VOLTRON: The Third Dimension, he can receive additional game features or character trivia on his Game Boy Advance without requiring any additional hardware or hardwired devices.
Here's an even better idea: you see a commercial for the newest GBA game, and the commercial downloads a demo of that game into your GBA so you can try before you buy. !!!

the reason that the games cost about £30 is because theyre 64MB game carts
EEPROM as far as I know, that's how you can save onto them
if anyone figures out how to reverse engineer these things, they're be great for customising!
