obvious and best choice! i expected more from vim! and
knobject, but was slightly disappointed with each. both were
great anyway. but ochre's was best. i feel silly for not
finishing mine (properly) cos it's pretty funny, and sounds
completely opposite of all the other remixes i heard.

anyway, i hope this is the next and biggest step toward
ochre getting signed to some cool label. his music is so
impressive. i'm gonna play a slew of it on my show this
semester.

I would have picked a different one... There were several I
liked better.

There was good drum programing IDEAS in ochres (who is he
anyhow... is he on xlt?) but I didnt like the production
that much.

But hey, its not up to me.

I liked Ochre's a lot, but there were a lot of good ones to
choose from, global goon should have had a 1rst, 2nd, and
3rd place. Ochre is a great musician.

offline Zeus from San Francisco (United States) on 2003-01-02 23:20 [#00499593]
Points: 14042 Status: Lurker

yeah, 1st 2nd and 3rd should have been done

Mr. Hawk fell down and got stuck, but he's managed to get
back up agian.

I would have liked to see a 2nd and 3rd place, but its not
my contest, so its all good.

I wish there were more remix contests around.

good for Ochre..he had an awesome track..:)

I actually like my own remix..has anybody heard the whole
thing? there's like a minutes worth of melodic ambience at
the end..which is my first ever attempt at ambience..
so inshort I really dug the experience..it made me do things
I havent done before..which was a reward in itself..:)

Tolstoyed,

I've got a few releases coming up, see the discography
section in my website for more info. Some are vinyl only
at the moment, with CD releases to follow. Everything's
taking ages to get sorted, but hopefully I'll get a couple
of releases out this year, fingers crossed.

If you want to be notified of any release dates or other
info, please join my mailing list.

Thanks for you interest, too. I'm very grateful. ;)
