I've tried everything I can possibly try.
In the summer, the motherboard went damaged and the soundcard broke (yeah ive tried re-formatting and everything).
Its not fair that every site I've been to that apparently "fix" problems like these haven't worked at all.
I'm sick of this, why does this shit always happen to me?
Why do I have to buy cd-rs every two weeks, with the little money my family has?
Just to let you know, we have the use the EMERGENCY CREDIT CARD for any upcoming groceries we may need during the rest of the month.
We owe a lot of money to the irs.
We are dirt poor, and here I have to buy cd-rs.
I'm sick of making music without a soundcard also, fuck it. I hate this.
And people wonder why I act the way I do sometimes.
Nothing works out.
Now we have to save up for a new computer, do you know how many years that will be? 2.
I'm down to 4 cd-rs for the rest of the month and can't hear anything on the computer.
I got my hopes up when that guy gave me that http://kxproject.spb.ru/ site earlier today. Nothing worked for this piece of shit cpu.
Nothing ever works.
Bet you any money 2 out of the 4 cd-rs i have left are duds.
My luck.

Was the sound card built into the motherboard? If it's separate, have you tried taking it to a friend's place and plugging it into his 'puter?
If you're sure the mobo is still good I have a spare Creative ensoniq audiopci card you could have. It's not godhead but it works.

hey that sounds pretty terrible, the money situation and all - but dont spend food money on cdrs, as much as you may feel the need to listen to new music it sounds as if you have lots of music allready which im sure you can listen to for the meantime.
