well, as you might know, we're working day and night on
xltronic, especially on the huge discography.
I noticed that we have quite a low amount of japanese cover
scans by Aphex, Autechre, Squarepusher and so on...

so, if you own any japanese releases by the artists named
above or any other famous electronica artists AND if you are
willing to scan them for us,...

please contact me! :)

For aphex anyway, I think the covers are normally the same..
(except for the paper thing around the side with the
japanese name on it).. Is that what you want? Or the copy on
the back in Japanese?

Actually I am not sure - mine are almost all imports (import
releases are cheaper here than the domestic releasese) - but
I will go and have a look in a store and see if covers are
different..

I am Japanese!

Phobiazero, I was walking past a cd store on my way home
from work... stopped in to compare covers of japanese and
foreign releases... as I thought they are exactly the same -
apart from the bit of paper which says the artists name,
release name, price etc in katakana (Japanese writing for
foreign words / names). Most people usually throw this peice
of paper away I think... Do you really want scans of
those...?

oh yeah, definitely :)
it's true, the releases don't differ a lot from the "normal"
UK or US releases but there really are noticable
differences...
the back cover, the CD label and of course the papers :)

real differences to the standard releases are Analogue
Bubblebath 3, Expert Knob Twiddlers, etc... incl. the green
frame...
