do you covet?
Whose sound are you obsessed with..I am talking more about
production skills, than melodies etc...
Whose sounds makes you go fuck I wanna do this...
can be a board musician or an established artist...
just curious..

mine change all the time..currently it's

Si Beggs..especially on S.I.Futures Mission Statement..how
he has seamlessly blended bit crushing experimentation with
catchy hop along tunes..some times within a single bar..is
remarkable..

Yes, I will agree with you.

Brownout is amazing, and I mean that. I was listening to it
today, as a matter of fact. I can just tell it's going to be
one of those albums that stands the test of time. I can't
get bored of it.

BOC... After lots of fucking about with VSt n stuff, I am
still mystified as to how they 'degrade' sounds they way
they do.

Also AE, Bola, Christ, and Matmos.

The instant BoC sound can be found here, for all
VST compliant platforms.

Damn, I meant to keep that a secret...

I like BoC's production too, nice depth & width, although
sometimes too wide.

hmm..lately ive really been into the sound of bjork's
vespertine..
i've been trying to find stuff that comes close

and i've always loved the sound of rotor+

i really like the production on brian eno's ambient stuff
too...especially the stuff he did with harold budd

biosphere's nice too

none of those are really over the top or mind blowing or
anything... but they all use production to create a really
specific atmosphere
