Joseph Nothing he is going to do some cool stuff in the
future I think

Richard Devine

... and afx said in that interview that he will never stop
making music and always try to perfect his style... so i
would think he will be coming up with some cool stuff (after
his remix album). I am especially interested considering
that he talks so much shit: "the best stuff I have I dont
release because people will just copy it like all my other
albums....."

push button objects I wouldn't call up and coming so much,
they are already here. same with bola. at least in my
mind. I don't think they will get much bigger than they are
though but they are pretty big.
good stuff none the less.

nah it's like

since snaers got on the scene
every man and his dog is making breakcore drill stuff.

when i was doing it i didnt even know what it was called.

im into really clean sounding stuff.

enduser does some cool shit but most of the whole breakcore
movement is kinda lame (in my opinion of course) coz it
seems to rely a lot on being hard and stuff but not clever
of melodical or any of that shit that im trying to get
happenign in my stuff.

I'm more into the "waqnna make people dance without the
music beign rough and hard edged" kinda thing. liek michale
jackson's old stuff, that shit wasnt distorted but it had
mad beats and mad melodies to accentuate them.

but of course I don't know what the fuck im saying, im only
a kid.

hahah mickey you own man!
*high five!*

offline Mickey Mouse from The Moon on 2002-11-27 22:16 [#00459014]
Points: 4130 Status: Addict

and that is why od kicks so much ass!

*high fives od*

I feel exactly the same way about this whole breakcore/drill
thing happening now. Aphex Twin did it best with the RDJ
album because not only was there the crazy beats, but the
beautiful melodies to go along with it. It meshed
perfectly.
People dont do that now... they just put dsp on the typical
cut up drum loops, with either no melody, or a serverly
lacking one. And even if they dont to that, they are trying
to make their music as close as possible to the old afx
style, and people like it so much because its cloned afx or
squarepusher styled material *cough*lobe*cough*.....
not to say I dont like that stuff, I am a sucker for it

Personally I think a person who has his/her own style
compaired to a person sounding like a clone or someone
else.... the person with his/her own style owns it, makes it
ten times better and more personal/origional
*cough*od*cough*

People dont want to push boundries and make new things...
except a small handfull, and for those people out there who
are trying to establish their own style, I respect that

to all the people that I think are establishing their own
style

remember their names off the top of my head now....

roygbivcore - Digitonal is on tefosav, he is one of the
founding members and probably the "grand pubar" or tefosav.
If you wanna go and verbaly shake his hand, he'll be chuffed
(tefosav.com, go to the temporary forum - as the main one is
fucked atm). Yes his stuff is brilliant. And he's a decent
bloke aswell.

Mickey - ahahah thats great, man! thanks a, lot.
I'm actually pretty much NOT tryingto push any boundaries,
though. I just wanna make music that people can dance to in
their study while they're waiting for their porn to download
heheh :)

I guess what I was trying to say about the whole
"hardcore/breakcore" thing is the reason why it shits me is
the same reason why ggansta rap shits me. The image becomes
part of the music and vice versa.

heheheh maximum word up!!! :)

PS i think my style is just really a mashup of the prodigy
and the pusher. hehe, except worse :P
