i have a live concert from the mellon collie tour on VHS
somewhere...
it's so sad that they broke up with the drummer and that
theyre keyboard-player died. After that they lost the sound
me thinks

yeah...Tales Of Scorched Earth and Where Boys Fear To Tread
are good driving tracks...

it's funny how they used the rocketlauncher-sound from doom
II in Where Boys Fear To Tread ;)

if you like the end is the beginning you should check out
their album machina; it's mostly similar to that!

yeah man i posted a link to an mp3 of their new single
called honestly a few days ago. it's an alright song, cheery
and poppy. their album's supposed to come out one of these
days. exciting stuff!

Its good to hear Corgan doing new stuff. His colab with New
Order was sweet too..

that new order album is really good. i think 'honestly'
sounds like it could've been on get ready. billy's voice
sounds much more controlled these days, which isn't such a
bad thing, although i do like his metal cutting shrieks on
siamese dream

I love Mellon Collie! Maybe the first album I ever bought
that really impressed me beyond catchiness... like it was
the first album that got me interested in the art of album
making or something. Before that my favorite band was Green
Day. Hmm.

Smashing Pumpkins have always been my most favorite band.

Zwan is even better. Verteran rockers not worried about
impressing people, just letting it rip. Great times ahead

aaah the old days of mellon collie! it's a shame that their
albums after this effort werent on the same level imo...

i think the new billy corgan song is pretty good. Beats
some of the newer overly produced pop rock out there lol

i dont think the cd is released yet therefore there isnt a
clean mp3 released that isn't from a radio station if " u
want to sample the track before purchsing it "

bah! I only liked siamese dream! then I saw em live and
found out they can't perform live! couldn't dig em after
that!

how come you didn't like them live?

I never thought they were the best live group ever, but
their on stage bantar and rocking was never a let down.

finally listend to "Honestly"

and it is honestly a pretty decent song. Easily the most
"pop" song I've heard from them, and I have lots of their
live mp3s

Its different enough to be pretty cool though.
-----------------
also, Billy's voice is in a range i've never heard before,
and I think it's great.
