trout mask replicas a very tough listen till you've heard it
a good few times.
i think thats why beefhearts not given the true recognition
he deserves, all because people have gone straight to trout
mask when checking him out for the first time, all his other
material is genius, and i use the word genius lightly, true
genius

and i cant beleive i'm gonna see the Magic Band and Aphex
and Autechre at ATP, aaaaaaaaaarrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

both albums would be in my top 5 of all time, easily. i can
see what you mean about trout mask replica, althuogh i
listen to it all the time :) a common first impression is

hehe, good shout, beefheart drove them insane!! locked in a
shack, do it like that!! no, like that!!

bein in a bands bad enough but i couldnt hack a
taskmaster/big leader figure, allthoug there is allways a
front figure or head of the band i couldnt hack the

from what i know arthur lee was quite like that aswell,
telling everyone what to do. i dunno if you've heard the
tracking sessions for 'your mind and we belong together' -
