alright, I've been a bit reluctant to do this, but for the first time I'm giving out a link to download a song I just finished today.
if you absolutely need a genre, i guess i'd say experimental/down-tempo... just take a listen though and see what you think of it. all feedback is welcome.

just wasn't sure if anyone would like it or not, or if it'd be as good as everyone else's. a lot of people on here make some damn good music, so i guess i felt a little intimidated by that

i was expecting more of the beats to kick in though and really kick phatness, so in that respect it left me wanting.

it does need a bit more work with the drums, they're a bit too "distant" i think

this is quite good..
I think you need to do something with all that flange + reverb in the beginning - it makes it sound kind of old (as in '90s). a lot of reverb always makes me kind of suspicious - feels like someone is trying to use it as filler.. I'm not saying you're doing that here.. ;)
the melody is great.. love how you make it clip like hell, that really works here..
I agree with crocomire, I expect some real bassy drums soon.. and somehow some kind of really weird break around 3:00.. gets a bit boring there.. it feels like its should make a sudden change..
overall - not bad at all. :)

thanks again :)
and i honestly do agree with the points you've both made about the song. i felt the intro was too long perhaps, and there is a spot where it gets a little repetitive [around the 3:00 minute mark you mentioned] - but now that those points have been made, i can go back and hopefully improve upon them :)

The weird little melodies are nice, and I like the reverb. I'm a reverb junkie. That's why I like Ae. :) the drums are cool.. the bang-clang delayed percussion reminds me vaguely of O.S.T... anyway I enjoyed it

AND NOW laaaaaaadies and geeeeeentlemen, it is our pleasure to announce that bile, yes BILE, has announced that finally he will release some of his very own organized sound to his starving curious fans in a move experts are calling "the biggest, most magic revelation since willy wonka opened his chocolate factory"
I thought it was a big pile of noisy crap. congratulations.

I really liked the intro (intro's are a big thing with me cos it usually sets me up for either liking or disliking a song)
i liked that there was a melody there....random noises BUG me.
so to summarize, i liked it and found it very listenable! =0)

Hey erik, i quite liked that song! :-) I kind of agree with the advice given earlier on in this thread.
I really like the way you slowly build it up, starting with only one soft sound, and then adding more and more sounds. But i was expecting it to go even further i guess. For the song to get even more layers and become a little more complex.
But still, even as it is i enjoyed it quite a bit :-) Keep up the good work!
