Penty Harmonium?

Why is it that most online cd stores and p2p programs such
as Soulseek/iMesh always list track 4 on CD2 of Drukqs as
"Penty Harmonium"? Inside the CD itself, this track is
called "QkThr"... anyone know the reason for this?

wow .. no kidding! i see it now. that DBBD song name thing
says Penty Harmonium too...and yet the cd says that...thanks
for pointing that out. thats very odd...

just another thing i noticed, track 29 is listed twice in
the booklet

I seem to remember, just before Drukqs was released a track
listing appeared on the World Wide Web (also known as the
Internet). It may have even been posted at Warp - it had a
track called "Penty Harmonium". But I could be wrong.

LMAO!!!!!!! maybe rich was drunk when he wrote that...oh my

hmm that seems reasonable, that could be what happened. the
incorrect listing circulated first, but you'd think someone
would've caught it by now and fixed it

The first track is also often called Jynwethek
Ylow
...

but in my cd it doesn't say Ylow, just
Jynweythek. I don't know why. I guess this is one of
those things we'll never know.

in the booklet the word "penty harmonium" is scribbled over
too..
i guess he just changed the track name.

I think I see it scribbled out in this area, but in my cd, that part of
the image is cut off.

yeah, but you can still see the digits 19 and the word
"pen".

nah, he's a mac user I think. :)

I'm pretty sure Penty Harmonium, along with most of the
other titles, is Welsh.

the thirdball is right. warp posted the tracklisting with
"jynweythek ylow" and "penty harmonium." I think it may have
appeared on nme's website before that. I guess it was just
one of those things that was changed before pressing began.
harmonium is the instrument on the track by the way. it's a
bit like an organ with a bellows.

Damn richard, why did he have to pick such cryptic track
titles. Always trying to throw us off!

I like Penty Harmonium better, actually. Sounds more like
the feel of the song in some way.

i think it's an anagram of "Pentium Harmony" (as in, being
created by his computer?) just a guess

Penty Harmonium, or whatever it's called is probably the
second worst song on the whole cd, excepting only Gwarek or
whatever it is. The song after Mt. St. Michaels. It's so
awful.

the only "song" i hate on Drukqs is that god awful
track of nothing but screaming and metal objects pinging or
whatever the hell it is... also, i don't quite enjoy the one
that's like 10 minutes of some bass sound and nothing else.
very lame

poor you...
anyway, the track title isn't a mistake or earlier
tracklisting as it seems it's penty harmonium and jynwethek
ylow for the vinyls version as listed on warprecords.com,
anyone with a vynil version who can check it out?

how can you love rdj's work and not like tracks like
these??? maybe gwarek2 is too far for you, but c'mon if you
like sawII i really don't see why you can't love gwely
mernans... it's like a sawII with a better sound quality,
and a verygood one fo sure!

well I'm not sure of the titles, so I could be referring to
the wrong tracks... but I know for certain the one that
comes off very irritatingly stupid is mostly just sounds of
him(?) screaming and stuff going "ping". I mean come on, how
uncreative can you get?

i've said it before and i'll say it again:
i hate gwarek2! (the god awful
track of nothing but screaming and metal objects pinging or
whatever the hell it is).

Seriously... what was richard thinking? It would have been
bearable (annoying, but bearable) if it had been a short
track, but no, it goes on forever... it completely ruins the
momentum of the entire album for me.

I bet he did it just to annoy us... create the perfect
double-album... and then include 10 minutes of awful noises
and screaming, just to piss everyone of.... grrr.

I think from this day forth, i'm just gonna skip it whenever
i listen to druqks. I tried and i tried and i tried to like
it... but there's just nothing to like in there!

The other track you talk about (gwely mernans, right?) i
actually like tough... i find it to be very soothing.

huum... that's off course gwarek2, i can understand, i
didn't liked it until i heard it in a small room full of
bass and good reverb/resonance, man if you close your eyes
listening and really getting to flow in it you can really
*feel* it and it's well better that way, for me it's not
music it's artistic sound evocation / musique concrete

it's not just screams... it's mostly some of the best made
bass ever... with a timing and crispness of the sound that
is brethtaking
it's that kind of track that don't leave him too far behind
ae in term of sound/texture manipulation IMO

i've heard other people on this board say this before...
when you listen to it carefully on a good soundsystem,
apparantly it's supposed to get better.

I can't imagine how though. I'm really not trying to be a
pain in the ass here, i'd love to be able to appreciate this
track! It would make druqks the perfect album, if i liked
all 30 tracks :-D

But i just feel that one is not for me

Maybe there is more to it than utter chaos and screaming
women, but i don't get it :-/

Bile: 10 min of bass sounds? are you talking about Gwety
Mernans? That song roxors!!!!! ITS SO COOL!! its really
dark and sounds like Rich is thinking about sad things as he
looks out into the night landscape on a train. i heard he
did a lot of train traveling wiht drukqs somewhere. thats
one of my fav tracks

much, and it does sound kick-ass on a good system

GWARK IS THE BEST FUCKING GOD DAMN TRACK EVAR

YOU PEOPLE WILL REALIZE IT SOONER OR LATER

MAYBE ANOTHER YEAR?

GIVE IT ANOTHER YEAR OR SO

btw none of you are blasting the 30hz (20-30Hz frequencies
at 130+dBs-145dBs) TO FUCKING UNDERSTAND THE SONG AND HEAR
THE TRUE MEANING BEHIND IT.

that song is by far VERY fucking powerful.

can't beleive no one likes it on here.

you all prolly listened to it like once, didnt like it,
stereotyped it, threw it out.

GG !!!
bleh

as for plenty harmoniym, i fucking love it.

i love those wood knocks/sounds, i repeat that song all the
time

Actually, I listen to each of those two tracks each time,
elusive, and they suck every time, especially
gwarek2 (the screaming song). I'm running Grado SR-125s so
don't tell me it's a bad sound set up. I just don't like
them. I've given them ample chance. If you like them fine,
but I find it amazing how you can know that each of us who
don't like it just haven't given it enough of a chance.

Assuming anyone in this thread gives a damn anymore :D the
tracks on the vinyl version of drukqs are exactly the same
tracks as on the CD version, but some of the track titles
are spelled differently and Penty Harmonium on the vinyl is
called qkthr on the CD.

Compare:
