Yes, SAW 85-92 was re-released in the United States, because you could only previously get it as an import, I believe. |

what the hell? SAW sounds right and there isnt a new one... why compare the saw noice to saw2?? i think these albums are really differents... saw is entertaining and perfect saw2 is more complicated and perfect |

I bought the original from a store right as the reissue came out. My cousin bought the reissue. I didn't notice any difference. |

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about the surface noise. I agree with you that it's kind of annoying when you want to hear the sounds clearly.. but in another way I agree with e-man in that it's kida conducive to the hazy, ambient feel of the LP. kinda hard to decide which is more important.. |

Yeah many of the recordings were made when he was a teen, so he didn't have access to top-notch studio equipment, so there isn't much that can be done w/ the master tapes. |

i think that the general atmosphere, and moreover, the character of SAW comes from its haziness, like the music is slightly smudged. i love that. anyway, some tracks have fine sound quality, like green calx or pulsewidth, and the ones that don't are excellent as they are. |
