how about "don't sweat the technics" by kid606. That was a
starting point for me.

when i wanted to "trrick one of my frriends into ourr
worrld" i just bought the entire RDJ-album for her and gave
her that (she wrote back it changed her life and she was
gonna buy herself every aphex twin-release :-)).

It was half-price at the time, and i figured an entire album
would make a deeper impression than just a compilation.

So that would be my advice to you: find one of the albums
you love that you can get cheap, and give that to your
friend.

Unless it's one of those friends that you're always swapping
mix-tapes with :-) (i love those kind of friends)... than i
would advise atleast some BOC-tracks, everybody seems to
love BOC.

RDJ is a priceless album to start people into idm, George is
smart.

the version which has Girl/Boy EP on it as well, very nice
album to start someone out with

exactly, I really think Bile is 100% correct, is the perfect
introduction to electronic/idm/braindance, whatever you
wanna call this world :)

I think I will make a copy of it tell them just to listen so
they don't have any prre-concived ideas of what they will
think of it.

That is always the best way to go i think. Let them form
their own opinions about the music.

Hope it works out though :-)
