whoa, something cool just happened. I was listening to track 4... and about halfway through it, i decided i wanted to write here that i really thought track 1 was almost too good... so i pushed CTRL+N, you know, to open up a new window. And in that new window... the song also started to play. And it sounded really great! (dare i say even better than the original track). Really dense and chaotic ofcourse, but awesome! You may want to start experimenting with that in any new songs junktion ;-) Playing two songs at the same time, through each other... hehe. No i'm kidding ofcourse, but in this case it sounded really good! Like it was meant to sound that way. I just sat in awe and listened to it. The original track was like i said about halfway when the 2nd window started to play the song from start... they just mixed beautifully together :-) |

oh yeah, and so what i meant to write was: that first track is really wonderful! So far (i'm at #6) they all sound pretty decent, but the first one really stands out imo! i love it. |

well...track 1 was a tune i always played on my bass-guitar (in that tempo also), and I just wanted to use it for something, so i did... ;) |

heard them all now, and liked most of them :-) Standouts for me were #1, #4 (when played against a background of itself ;-)) and also #9 was really great! Was it just me or is that one quite different from the rest? Alot more melody i thought... worked very well! With some of the other tracks there would sometimes a good bit that made me think: "hey this sounds great!"... but then it just plays for a couple of minutes with only small variations, and eventually you slightly loose interest i guess. What i particularly liked about #9 (and also a couple of others... can't remember them all specifically though ;-) listening to an album one time is not enough) is the constant changes and evolution. And also that very strong melody always going on... nice song! Oh... and i find it very hard to imagine #1 on bassguitar only?! :-p You must have fast fingers ;-) All in all a nice album, but i'm looking even more forward to the next one... "more complex" sounds interesting... i generally tend to like complex things. |

the new shit got inspired by BoC and ae. But then i thought "fuck...I don't want to end up as another idm-replica" so I took a week off from listeing to IDM, and took some time with the roots (Beastie Boys, Bad Religion, metal-stuff and such). Now I finally the sound...I hope ... But I have to stop using FruityLoops...the sound tend to be too "canned" |

well, i don't make any music myself, nor have i ever seen any of the music-making programs... so i couldn't tell really, if it makes songs sound canned. It's all just music to me :-p And maybe it's better that way... if i would understand exactly how each track was built up, perhaps it would take away from the magic. Sounds like yr new stuff will be aggressive! |

well...i'm logging off soon. I just want to say thank you to everyone that have downloaded my album over the last 8 months. You have all given me great feedback, wich has alloved me to get a new look on my sound. If you enjoyed these tracks, you should look out for tracks with the artist-name garagelab in the future. again...thanx yall! :o) |
