DAS EXPERIMENT

who saw this german film? insanely good. it's based on an
actual psychological experiment that turned bad, in 1972 (i
think).

about 20 participants are chosen and are put in a prison for
14 days. half of them are ordered to play the role of
prison guards, the other half play the prisonors (SP?). the
prisonors have to follow the orders given by the guards.
the experiment wasnt completed because they had to end it
(before the end of the 14 days) because the guards
physically abused the prisinors in a bad way. that's in the
actual experiment.

go watch the movie to see what happens in this version.
intense stuff...

no, it's an actual film. i know it sounds like a
documentary though, bit it's not at all.

it's been out for a while in germany and europe i think, and
won a ton of awards. they just released it in theatres in
canada. the main character is that german guy who plays
lola's boyfriend in 'run lola run'.

Zimbardo's experiment in Stanford university, it was based
on.

my friend said that the film is much more violent than the
actual experiment.
We watched the video for Zimbardo's experiment in psychology
and it had Boards of Canada the whole way through.

yeah, it's based on that experiment and they made it more
violent. id be interested to see the actual experiment
though and see how violent it got.

machine: no idea...
