Tonight, I'm going to sleep to Portishead's Dummy.
It feels like a Portishead night.

What'll it be for the rest of ya?

i can't sleep w/ music on, music grabs my attention.
exceptions have been made when i lie in bed with headphones
on and no lights on.. sometimes i'll fall asleep. but that's
not intentional.

dummy might give you depressing dreams!

yeah, I never fall asleep to music, though when I do, I
think it's straight up Aphex. I don't recall it fucking
with my dreams, but I wish it would.

I've tried KLF before but I actually found it hard despite
the style due to the fact that it's not repetitive ambient,
i.e. lots of new sounds pop in and out as opposed to just
droning along.. I like Ambient Temple of Imagination and
Aphex Twin for sleepytime though :) I can sleep
unintentionally to almost anything.. but it's especially
hard to sleep to: kid 606 and Sonic Youth

I think Dummy is one of those albums best listened to with
the bass sturned up, hence not so hot for sleep. Mind you, I
have slept to it in the past :)
