Confield's greatest moments

offline CORTEX from Canada on 2002-10-27 21:21 [#00418883]

all these topics about confield emerged all of a sudden!

anyway, ma favorite moments:

- sim gishel: the beginning (first 10 seconds)
- parhelic triangle: at the end, when the track fades out
and comes screaming back at you
- pen expers:when the melody struggles to be heard
- uviol: when the 'fart-like' sounds appear

god, there are so many more!

some of mine:
the melodies in VI Scose Poise
ending exploding bits of lentic...
cfern has a great rhythm!

i guess one would be the first quiet seconds starting off
the album, goes so well with VI scose poise, lends it
character.

pen expers - gotta love that L.L. Cool J beat that they
ripped off.

offline uviol from United States on 2002-10-27 22:02 [#00418898]

totally.. 1. the beginning of pen expers..
2. the lovely chimes in uviol and deep bass
3. the slight melodic dissonance of cfern
4. the struggling harmonies and ringing drone of parhelic
triangle.. does anyone else hear how the garbled synth lines
work melodically with that background texture every few
repetitions?

The part in Cfern (there's a couple times this happens) when
the tempo gets fast and out of whack but gets back to where
it was.

1) The beginning rolls of Pen Expers: *boom dada boom dada
boom dada boom dada*

2) The silence after Sim Gishel. It ends the first section
of confield (there are three sections for me: Beginning:
Vi, Cfern, Pen and Sim. Second: Parhelic, Bine, Eidetic and
Uviol. Third: Lentic)

3) The way the end of Uviol goes in to Lentic. Uviol
totally sets you up :)

there are more but those are my favs

It's a little over my head. Respect to those who can
actually get into this album.

i think it depends on how avant garde you are. how
abstractly you think. my mom hates abstract so she doesn't
really like my music. i adore abstract so i love this
music. its all based on your perception on art. if you
like abstract you'll probably dig IDM...not
necessarily...but probably.

Confield's greatest moment is when it ends.

-tempo changes in Lentic Catachresis
-when Parhelic Triangle brakes that mold and fucks you
over.
-everything about Pen Expers that was already metioned.
-that hard knocking here and there in Bine.
