it seems a lonely road to follow but I'd leading a Boc-free
life...they've never really grabbed me...

Odd really...as I am very interested in much of their
subject matter and references...I just feel that if you took
away their mystique there would be little interesting
left...

I love the way it degenerates at the end.

I love BoC. In fact I can't believe I waited so long to
actually listen to their stuff. It's so beautiful and
original. It's like nature's IDM.

And corngrower, I agree about the summer sounds. The whole
album is like that for me. Very summery. Like a hot sunny
day.

it's a great track.. especially the tinny buildup and then
'thwwwooomp! boom boom boom!' .. however it seems abnormally
long and meaty beaty considering it's musical surroundings..
strange I know.. but there's so much calm, short stuff
around it that it seems to need some introduction.. the
track is tops though

My least favourite track on Geogaddi, sad to say. It just
sounds so cheeeeesey! Which I usually like but it makes my
stomach churn!

Yeah, much too happy cheese.
Summer tracks sicken me (usually).
Imo

explain these "cheesy" sounds you talk of...

the weird ass flute? the indian drumming? i don't get it!

The synth, like what appears in a lot of BoC. It starts of
aight, but as soon as the sound becomes clear, I just think
noooooo. The flute is and the tabla work for me, it's just
that one thing. Can't listen to it for more than a minute.

Everything else on Geogaddi oozes class however.

i like BoC that makes me think of things... Dawn Chorus
makes me think of Riding a merry go round while it's
snowing... and happy cycling reminds me of coney island...

i like to drink some hot drink... like mmm... apple cider
w/some cinnamon schnapps in it & listen to BoC :)

they don't sound to me like the "summer music" but rather a
bright sunny day in the winter... i dunno... just gets me
thinking about the winter & how much i miss snow!

MHTRTC is a very wintry sounding album for me. I hate
winter but i love the album. :)

For once you and I agree Quoth! :)

Alpha and Omega kinda scared me at first when I got the
Geogaddi promo and heard it, (never mind the 33/45 thing)
but once I heard it a few times it excited me as I knew this
was a new direction and evolution of BOC's music.

Alpha and Omega reminds me of the good old days of Black
Dog. 'Bytes' and 'Spanners'. I remembered why I like
Astrobotnia so much; it sounds like Black Dog too.

Yeah Joyrex, I actually played the promo at 33 when I got
it. I like the track better at 33 actually, it's more
relaxed and reminded me of mhtrtc actually (this was before
I got Geogaddi, mind you).

Indeed - I thought is sounded better at 33, but once I heard
it in the context of the whole album, it made sense.
