What do you imagine when you listen to Confield?

Whenever I listen to the quieter and weirder middle tracks
of Confield, I always seem to imagine a huge, weird,
spaceship moving over a futuristic, yet dark and abandoned
city...(those bells especially make me think of a huge,
grey, overpowering object.)

Am I abnormal?

I imagine: a cute dog

That part of Confield is like listening to a huge
supercomputer take in data, crunch it and spit out data that
would probably take the human race thousands of years to
decode...

And of course I'm abby normal!

A...cute dog?

Well...that's interesting.

When you actually analyze them, those tracks aren't too
complicated-they still manage to be very nice though. And of
course, fucked-up sounding (in a good way, natch)

you don't have to analyze the tracks to hear they're not
that complicated.. just listen..

"you don't have to analyze the tracks to hear they're not

Eh?

Anyway...can anyone tell me if track 5 (soz-got this
recently and can't be arsed to look at the track names :D)
is constantly changing, or am I imagining it? (I know it has
an ubrupt change towards the end, but I mean in between)
Also, has anyone noticed the main sound in this uses a
sample of a buzzing wasp..?

I picture my brain melting and running out my ears. Or
maybe I'm just looking the mirror. I hate Confield.

well.. analyzing to me means sitting down and listening to
the tracks and disecting them.

no need for that.

I must say, I think this with some of their music-namely
ep7, which I can't bear (don't bother flaming me, it's my
opinion)
However, for some reason, I like Confield, on an
emmotinal level especially.

I picture nothing, for I have never heard Confield. Can
someone compare it to another album? Like the style...etc.

you mean 'parhelic triangle' - amazing track, my current
favourite.

the crunching beat is constantly changing yes, the melody
not so much.
where do you hear the wasps? I would be seriously surprised
if ae use 'clean' samples though..

The only I can compare it to are the best ideas of LP5 and
ep7, merged together in a rich, textured sonic tapestry. I
haven't heard ANYTHING yet that comes close to Confield.

It's just noise. No rythem or anything. It's not even good
noise, it's just.....noise...

VI Scose Poise: Forms...hard to say. Lots of white in it
though...in fact its a very white song for me. tiny silver
balls in a white colored vacuum i guess.

Cfern: Transformations. Dark mysterious hallways.
Forbidding. Its sean and rob trying to control something
wild...cause the rhythm gets under their power sometime in
the song at the 3 min mark roughly.

Pen Expers: A very wild song where something is trying to
happen but its surrounding is very dence. It has a huge
dose of anxiety in it for me....and like the feeling when
you're underwater and are trying to breath from what little
air you get from the top. The tune that comes in (the
strings) try their best to get through the dense rubbery
textures but then fall away under the force and pressure its
surroundings.

Sim Gishel: Rubbery. Dense. Stretched music in my
opinion.

Parhelic Triangle: A sea of rubberish water on a distant
planet. very dark out ... only hints of nearby planets
above its mountainous landscape and coastal regions. a
scary image for me is the sea filled with bouys (water
markers for boats so they know where to go). Another image
i see is the progression of hypnotism...the bells would seem
to be hypnotising something unseen. neurological
information is all those gurgly noises.

Bine: Fierce. The first time I heard it i understood bine
as an opera. you've got your strings in the
background...rather normal / avant garde. I tried to
imagine them by themselves...would be nice to hear. and
then you have all your noise on top...which is acting
according to the strings. its an opera at a microscopic
level. tiny organisms shoot about while others hover around
in a state of stasis like a humming birds wings.

Eidetic Casein: Architechure (sp?). this is the song that
looks like confield's cover. so i basically see the cover
with this song.

Uviol: Ice. foreign landscapes. glistening sun on ice
formations. sounds coming from in caves at water drops.
boiling mud puddles start burbling at their sched

Twice? TWICE?

*rolls eyes*

I suppose you only listen to everything you get TWICE?

I have no problem people criticizing albums, as long as they
give reasonable thought and time to their arguments...

Come on, Asche XL. Time to get with it.

bugger it cut off...

uviol: "at their scheduled time in the day halfway through
the song."

Lentic Catachresis: is the track that takes us back to our
world so to speak and it shows us them in their studio
working away. the randomness we get is them 'leaving the
building' so to speak.

I associate most of the confield with Architechture, I
dunno, like that "Fritz Lang" movie Metropolis....If had to
make a video for "Bine" Id just film some ugly "Bauhaus"
Buildings..

how can you say confield is noise?

its the most mature thing out there in terms of sound. it
takes everything out. its autechre at their finest imo.
nothing will compare with it at all! its perfect. in
everyway.
