yes in between all the deep and profound discussions of
subjects as varied as DEATH and MEAT, here we
have a lighter thread and on the subject of movies again
(also for dear boardmembers like LeCoeur who seem to like
threads like these)..

what movies make you laugh out loud..?

I would say: "Monty Python & the Holy Grail", "Life of
Brian", "Young Frankenstein".. um..

Fletch makes me laugh... the kevin smith films are usually
littered with some laugh-aloud moments too. And Bill Murray
makes me laugh.

I forgot about that, and I was just talking with a friend
tonight about it. "This Is Spinal Tap" is hillarious... so
dead-on about all those '80s hair-metal bands

It's an awful, stupid movie, but I remember watching
''Orgasmo'' and laughing my ass off. Maybe I'm dumb.

You guys are right (marlowe, machine) 'Fletch' is a great
movie.. although it had the worst sequel in history.. I
didn't crack a smile the whole time.. very disappointing
compared to the original.
'High Strung' is the funniest movie I've ever seen in my
entire life.. I watched it with my family a couple years ago
and I was laughing so hard that we had to stop it three
times because I could not breathe, no joke. After that, I
watched it several more times and my Dad did too and after
that we watched it annually at my birthday parties.. all my
friends and I would laugh hysterically even during the
opening credits just thinking about the movie to come!
Anyway.. just see it. :)

I have Caddyshack on VHS - I watch it regularly - it's more
fragmented than other Chevy Chase (or Bill Murray) films,
but it has some great one-liners in it :)

will I ever see it?! i want to see it!!

Life Of Brian is probably my alltime favorite comedy movie.
Some of that stuff is brilliant!!!.

NISUS WETTUS:
Next. Crucifixion?
PRISONER
Yes.
NISUS:
Good. Out of the door. Line on the left. One cross each.
Next. Crucifixion?

PRISONER #2:
Yes.
NISUS:
Good. Out of the door. Line on the left. One cross each.
Next. Crucifixion?

MR. CHEEKY:
Ah, no. Freedom.
NISUS:
What?
MR. CHEEKY:
Eh, freedom for me. They said I hadn't done anything, so
I could go free and live on an island somewhere.

NISUS:
Oh. Oh, well, that's jolly good. Well, off you go, then.

MR. CHEEKY:
Naa, I'm only pulling your leg. It's crucifixion, really.

NISUS:
Oh, ho ho.
MR. CHEEKY:
Heh heh heh hehh.
NISUS:
I see. Uh, very good. Very good. Well, out of the door.
One....

MR. CHEEKY:
Yeah. I know the way. Out of the door.
NISUS:
Line on...
MR. CHEEKY:
One cross each. Line on the left.
NISUS:
Line on the left.
MR. CHEEKY:
Heh heh.
NISUS:
Yes. Thank you. Crucifixion?
PRISONER #4:
Yes.
NISUS:
Good.

Well it just ceased to be scary and you could see blatant
edits basically. The uncut version isn't funny though. A
woman being touched up by a tree is funny a woman actually
raped by a tree NOT FUNNY that's the sort of
difference really.
