...that some of the WATTM regulars (I won't name names,
because I don't want to start a flamewar) have been coming
over here more frequently? I have seen some of their WATTM
screen names over on the "online" box...

Hmmmmm....

And, no, Zeus, I'm not singling you out, so relax...

Please don't start a comparison thread, the two sites are
meant to be FRIENDS.

I've been at watmm (or joyrex.com) longer, but oly slightly
(liek a few months before I started comnig here years ago)

They're both good sites.
A lot of xltronic heads have been showing up at watm too
lately, so it's mroe of a spread thing, i think.

I dunno about you, but *I* think it's a good thing.

were showing up...nothing more.

And of course they're welcome.

liek I had a reason to be.
Sorry!!!

I'm just defensive.

Sorry, that meant to say "so much for not having a
comparison thread".

If this board had an EDIT feature, I bet 25% of the posts
here would not exist.

Quoth: You really should be more constructive in your
criticism of other people - some would probably feel the
same way about you but don't voice it because they know when
to hold their tongue.

Jand: Funny, whenever I check the board there is 20+ peeps
there almost all hours of the day - plus it's not about
quantity, it's about quality - who wants to sift through
100's of shite threads just to find a meaningful
conversation?

Sorry, just had to vent...nothing personal against any of
you, I just tire of the 'fanatcism' that exists here - why
can't people just enjoy both sites without having to
endlessly dissect and compare them?

One day there will only be one of these sites, or both of
them will go byway of the dinosaur, or all these kids will
grow up, start jobs, move on to other things and those who
remain will move onto another site or messageboard. Just
enjoy the moment, ffs.

Sorry for the rant.

Gubb: I post here because occasionally there is an
interesting thread (if I can find it), and I like to help
people out when I can - I think you'll find I rarely start
threads, but usually answer questions people have (if I know
the answer), which I like to do. I do the same thing on my
board.

Flea: sorry I got a bit nasty with the reply; like I said, I
just tire of the fantacism some people here have - it's OK
to like a site and all, but there's no need to get
beligerant about it (sp?).

I've always liked aphextwin.nu - after all, it was one of
the sites that inspired me to start joyrex.com. Sure, Phob
and I have had our spats over the years, but overall I think
we have a mutual respect for one another, and why Phob and I
are not fighting like cats and dogs over the whole 'which
site is better' thing - hell, we wouldn't be having this
conversation now had we merged the sites like we had
planned, and you would probably be virtually back-patting me
just like you do Phob and the crew here. Food for thought.

This has gone on enough, will one of the mods here close
this thread please? It's rather pointless.
