MHTRTC does out weigh Geogaddi IMO

But Geogaddi is still excellent work :)

the rest of mhtrtc is almost boring.

It's like fucking. You and your partner can do all the same
things you did last night but it's just not happening
because the mood isn't there, the right shadows aren't being
cast, something seems forced, I dunno.

MHTRTC is the best sex ever, and Geogaddi isn't, and I don't
know if you can analyze it beyond that.

"It is impossible to descend twice into the same river and
it is impossible to touch a mortal substance twice in the
same condition, but because of the impetuosity and speed of
the changes, it is scattered and gathered together, it comes
and it goes." - Heracleitus

the first two weeks i thought geogaddi was brilliant. after
that- i dunno, maybe i played it too often but the magic is
gone.

it's become the perfect background music (like so many boc
tracks).

Hey Zeus! When I was in high school my name was Jesus in
spanish class, which is pronouced "Hey Zeus." So when his
name is said, Zeus is also summoned. How can I hear your
remix of Kaini Industries?

MHTRTC is magic. geogaddi is music.

i like in a beautiful place in the country more than both.

There are some tracks on geogaddi that i love though. The
Beach At Redpoint, Alpha & Omega, Dawn Chorus, You Could
Feel The Sky... and that Magic Window gets me in the heart
everytime. Talk about a tear jerker.

i think people dont like Geogaddi as much as MHTRTC because
where MHTRTC was blissful, and dreamlike, Geogaddi is dark,
and nightmarish, and people were expecting the same feelings
of bliss. The thing is, its a somewhat subliminal
difference. The same formula is there, but changed slighty
to be dark, instead of dreamy.

I've always looked at it like this: MHTRTC is like a small
child telling his friend about a dream, where as Geogaddi is
like a small child telling his freind about his nightmare.

that's very insightful. i guess i never considered it any
lesser of an album, it just didn't sit right with me,
because of the darkness.

my very first impression of geogaddi was "dark". You don't
feel that?

no. to me, MHTRTC is the darker one.. its more melancholy,
feels like the music goes deeper.. or summit..

my first impression was i'd wasted 20 quid on over-elaborate
packaging of a rather average sounding album

MHTRTC > Geogaddi

Geogaddi = still pretty damn good.

offline uviol from United States on 2002-10-20 23:46 [#00410964]

Geogaddi is fabulous, it just wasn't the life changer that
MHTRTC was.. plus there are actually some tracks on
Geogaddi that I honestly don't care for.. which was unheard
of on the debut. tracks like 'Julie and Candy' and 'Dawn
Chorus' are nice enough but kinda annoy me.. I must admit
though that 'Sunshine Recorder' is one of their finest
moments, period. Gives me chills.. However, on the whole
it's not as lasting. There weren't any 'triangles &
rhombusus's or 'bocuma's or 'roygbiv's on Geogaddi...

Geogaddi = boring

MHTRTC = has some good beats here and there. I dig on
Sixtyten and Rue The Whirl. Fuck a bunch of Roygbiv though.
Do not like the vocal sample in it. The toddler oshkosh
theme needs to go and they really need to drop the recorder
samples.

realize that completely forgot about it...

Geogaddi is such a summer album. It just fits so perfectly
when you blast it in your car on a sunny, hot, summer day.

MHTRTC is more of a rainy day album. The music sounds
"overcast", somehow.
