good, but could be better really freaky actually, very suspenseful.
I need to see Ringu, the original...how can I find it?

yeah, i saw the sneak preview for this a week ago. freaky, yes, specially the last ten minutes, but on further viewing the japanese version is far superior.

it wasn't rubbish but after viewing it again, i would say it was mediocre with hints of greatness. there was one beautiful shot that was ruined by a pointless reference to rear window. plus a really really melodramatic death scene.

Tsk tsk Jand - It's Ringu 2, Ringu 0 :P
Ringu, LIke BWP, was totally overhyped I thought -- It was about as tense as an episode of Daddy Loves Beaver :D

Why do people keep calling it Ringu? It's Ring, surely... I have the dvd sequels here too (borrowed) and they're Ring 2 and Ring 0..
anyway, I thought the acting in the first one was a bit ropey but it did get quite freaky towards the end... the TV scene was eerie as fuck.... and remakes generally suck, especially ones made within five years of the original (ie Vanilla Sky)

it had its moments...the first scare was good, and the video tape itself is gold, although the rest of the movie is just decent
