no watches, no maps
a compilation of material received through the post as
demos

from fatcat records..it's and excellent compilation..in
concept as well as in execution..
It comprises of all the demos sent unsolicited to fatcat
records that fatcat really dug but couldn't make commitment
to, sign up or release because they are a tiny label with
their hands and resources stretched..this is their way of
giving these artist the exposure they feel they deserve...

and from the looks of it a lot of them already have becuase
among the cast included are COM.A, Andreas Tillander and
Joesph Nothing(signed to planet mu)

a majority of the songs are excellent click/glitch/IDM
tracks but theres many different styles Downbeat/Electronica
even a Tortoise style post rock tracks

higly recommended.

Ukiyo-E-Val Doonican
is the most fully fully fledged and realised Post Rock
Track..pretty nice chilled vibes....

Beans-Ponderosa
hmm--could almost be called Post Rock.even though it's like
a treated piano piece..but the vibes are closer to Radiohead
than Drukqs

The Balky Mule-Asterion
Is my favourite..it's a one man on 4 track kind of deal..but
with a really prominent treated guitar lead work..the song
is very hard to describe..it's almost got glitchy noises at
the start but settles into steady groove underlaying the
lead guitar work..

Cytokine-Movement
Once again an almost straight out downbeat track only enters
the Post Rock territory due to the tasty delayed droning
guitar work...
