nannou of course (+ piano tracks) since it is just chimes
and a few clicks, but too hard a question since he is the
melody king

more of a beat master than a melody king

his melodies are far more expressive than his beats,
whereas people like squarepusher are the other way round

Ignoring the piano pieces on drukqs, i'd have to say:

Rhubarb
Flim
Girl/Boy Song
4
On

i totaly agre with jingle, aphex is the king of melodies. i
had an aphex revival day today. i had almost forgot how damn
good he is.. it brings me back 6 years when i first started
listening to aphex. sweet. people can talk all they want
about snares or (insert hyped up artist name here) but aphex
will allways be the king despite what the haters say..

its gotta be alberto balsalm, although lichen, rhubarb, and,
yes, stone in focus are his most ambient in my opinion.

Nobody mentioned Mookid?
Or Acrid Avid Jam Shred

and also: Petiatil Cx Htdui (Track 10, Disc 2) on Drukqs.
That is so melodious =D

i figured mookid and AAJS would be obvious ones. yeah, i
don't know if anyone mentioned this, but i always found
Green Gumpas to be particularly melodic, and i think its
track 8 on ABB3 thats also real melodic.

Shit, i forgot about ICBYD. Alberto Balsalm and Acrid, and
maybe Next Heap With can be added to the list.

yeah Alberto Balsalm or Acrid Avid Jam Shred... or Tha,
Xtal, and Heliosphan... SAWI, and ICBYD are two of his best
melodic albums imo...

or hell, even Start as You Mean to Go On... sure it's the
beat that's really on show here, but that second melody line
that comes in just fills up the speakers, and totally
surrounds you... it's fabulous!
