Time to go home...and catch up on all the movies I dled
this week...

Tested my broadband connection yesterday and a 1Mbs
connection is giving me around 128K a second / 1 MB in 8
secs....The net is sooo much nicer at that speed; everything
happens instantly...

Where do you download movies from Jand ?
I myself have given up on most sharing programs.
The spyware fucks up my computer to much , mostly internet
explorer (and yes i have Ad Aware)

Sido: Soulseek is getting better for Divxs; get a lot of
stuff from there...just started using edonkey again (which
always used to be the best P2P for films...)...

LeCoeur...A Beautiful Mind first...been saving that up all
week; first thing I downloaded..:)...got a beautiful 1.5gig
DVD rip so should be good...I read the book when it first
came out & loved that; from the little bits I've seen of the
film, I reckon I'm gonna love it...

Then I'll probably geek out on AOTC ... or perhaps Waking
Life or Office Space...plus Modulations I'm downloading at
moment..

oh christ!!..they got every 24!!...every X-File..

hehe...choices, choices, choices...I'm crap at em...I'm
really trying to savour stuff & not just skim the surface
just cause I can...

but the dream of being able to listen/watch whatever you
want, whenever you want is practically here...I wonder how
long it'll take to de-geek this tech...

hehe...the inner Nerd in me is excited by this
tech...reminds me of how I felt when I first got online;
what are the possibilities of this space etc. etc..

I've got some DIVX...

Gattaca
Clockwork Orange
Spiderman
Office Space
Pulp Fiction
Amelie
Signs
The Shining
Battle Royale
GI JOE!
TRANSFORMERS!
HE-MAN!
Ninja Scroll
Pi
Existenz
From Hell
Predator
Full Metal Jacket
Trainspotting
Unbreakable
Enemy at the Gates
2001: A Space Odyssey
Moulin Rouge
Bladerunner
Half Baked
Matrix
Citizen Kane
Panic Room

Maybe a few more... I'm starting a little DIVX collection
off Soulseek... it IS kind of annoying looking for them, and
finding someone with a nice connection.

If anyone really wants any of those movies, I'll copy them
off the CDs onto my harddrive so you can download them.

at these sort of speeds, owning stuff just seem to matter so
much...easy enough to just treat the net as big hard
disc...

I used to feel like some weird duplication machine when
making CDRs of stuff...now I just think why bother...

Signs is already on there, just got it last night (seems
like it works fine, I watched the first 10 minutes) and I
just copied Amelie for you. :-) Search the folder called ''D
Files''... username is revolverjgw

The bad news is that my Amelie is two files, part 1 and 2,
and each of them are like 200MB, so it adds up to half the
size of a typical Divx, lower quality... it's still nice and
watchable though. I just have to shut down Soulseek so it'll
pick up the new shared files, so if you're there, you can
get it in a few minutes.
