Yeah i deffinetly think he pick up vibes and make his own
versions of it.
Not nesicerly The Streets but yeah , i think he is inspired
by current trends.
In "do you know Squarepusher" i hear some Timmbaland'isch
"Bounce" influences for example.

hmm... must check it out

Tom needs to learn some Live tweaking skills from RDJ me
reckons. i.e. tweak on more channels and introduce more
anticipation drop-breaks like wot Rich does sooo well.
Although..... i did see Tom live last year and he did just
that.. CD2 should have been "Alive in Dublin".... a better
mox of GP and other stuff ..... big loada tracks for
example......

He takes the piss on all thaat commercial rubbish, havent
yall read that Tom Jenkinson manifesto???

Yeah Red Hot Car was so obvious (showing and proving) taking
the piss at the trends (fuck u in my red hot car, pissing on
those sleazy UK garage rnb lyrics) and at the same showing
his skills n talent)

"Do You Know Squarepusher" was also a great, great , great
great sarcastic move, making a hit but so complex that it
dont appeal the mainstream because he taking it to the
extreme..

F-Train= taking the piss on all these wanna be
"spacenerdundergroundcomplexlyricsnerdimsosmart" rappers.

My favourite "taking the piss" track of alltime tho is
Richard D James Windowlicker (what a "hit") :)

this is what I love about Tom and Richard that they just
fucking with my and everyones head.

archrival....

thats kinda what i mean about "totality"..... taking the
idea or vibe generated by someone... recognising its total
potential.......and taking the piss - stroke - bringing it
to its natural conclusion. i totally agree with you but its
not all a piss take. These masters of sound are working on a
dual level, a ying and yang thing simultaneously where there
is no black and white.
this is braindance... this is what we love

Yep, it's the logical conclusion of art- its destruction.
He's just advancing the process, more quickly than most...
:)
