made me cringe all the way through it, where he was telling the joke about the Black mans cock, too too much.
very very good, a programme that makes you feel totally embaressed all the way through.

My favourite bit was when Brent walked past his a-jar door to his office, then realised the camera was there. Then he gave a little smile and backed back out of sight....
HAHA

i work for an American company and the way they work is different but theres alot of similarities. i dont think it would travel well, it's VERY English. the whole embrassment thing is VERY English also, maybe cos of English society we cringe so much, i'd say the English feel alot more embaraasment in general to the Americans, alot of Americans really dont give a shit if they look like a cunt or not.

I missed the last episode but it's so good. I used to work at a BT call centre and it was JUST like that even down to the creepy assistant and assesments every 2 weeks.
Great prog but I can't see it working in the US, it's far too specific. Dunno though i'd like to find out..

He's a great comic actor and might even have the edge on Steve Coogan; he's more subtle.
The one where he was talking to that black guy about Denzel Washington and Sidney Poitier killed me. Reminded me of the time I was on a bus in Nottingham and this cockney geezer statrts talking to this Asian guy about India. He kept saying "Yeah, Iget on with the Indians". "I knew this geezer called ------. now what part would he be from?". I was pissing myself.

Yep, my flatmates and I watch it religiously. The speech was awful... my mate reckons it's building up for a nervous breakdown for mr. Brent in the last episode of the series. I don't think he cares enough too though...

i think thats whats great about it, the way you just sit there cringing all the way through.
were the lad caught the other two getting stuck into eachother, and he goes "whats goin on here then?" and he rags the lad for copping off with a bird that he fancies, marvellous.

Quality show. I love the way it's so naturally acted. The bit where (insert name here) catches those two kissing and starts going off at them about how he was more attractive.

i'm not too keen on the new series - oh yeah it's still really funny (last nights episode with brent running out of the door after his 'gig' was fucking mint) but i don't think it's half a subtle as the first series. Brent is no longer a believable person, if it were real life he'd probably have been committed/sacked long ago, so the whole documentary theme goes out of the window... spoils it a bit.

I know what you mean about it being less believable. My flatmate continually points this out whilst watching it, "He's too much of a joker, he doesn't do any work, he'd get sacked for that, etc." I agree that the first one was a lot "better", but in all honsty I laugh at the new one just as much. The bit where he was laughing hysterically in his talk had me (rather ironically) in stiches.
