yay!....

Finally got it on Friday last.... Cable...512 line...

hehe...and upgraded it to a 1mb line last night...best thing
was it was just a case of applying via website for upg and
then unplugging the modem for 2 mins...and
voila...uberspeed....

I'm on Blueyonder Telewest BTW...and I really cannot fault
em on their service....installation the guy took 15mins
(10mins of which was discussing Aphex...:)....

(you wouldn't believe how many movies I've watched this
weekend..:)...

"yes, I'll subscribe if a) you waive the setup fee (50 quid)
and b) I get a free NIC card (25 quid).." and after a bit of
the old jand charm they said "yeah!!!..."....

ps....if you wanna save some money on Blueyonder BB...and
help me & XLT out a bit.......

read the following blurb from BY....

"If you're a blueyonder broadband Internet customer you
can afford to be generous. For every friend you recommend
who takes up the service to blueyonder broadband Internet
(provided, of course it's available in their area) we'll
knock 25 off your Telewest bill* (for most customers, that's
a whole month free).

Let's face it, you're doing them a favour. There you are,
downloading music, watching film trailers and playing games
online at 10 x the speed, while theyre staring glumly at
the screen waiting for their homepage to load &

As if you weren't already being a good friend. You can also
tell them that as well as a superfast Internet service,
they'll also get half price installation - 25 instead of 50.

So remember, a friend in need is a potential 25. And 12
friends in need could turn into a year's free blueyonder
not that you're doing it for the money or anything&. ".....
.....

Have I no shame?....but yeah. E me if you're
interested....it's a win-win...

I'll be donating any cash from this to XLTRONIC BTW....

*jand wonders if this appropriate to post here....tell me if
not and obvously I'll remove it....
