anyone been listening to it while the board's been offline? if you tuned in last night you heard one the ladies of the board co-host with me. it was a really fun show. two people came in to ask about what songs they just heard (one girl asked about dj shadow's "in/flux" and a guy asked about that song and the one before it, ladytron's "playgirl"). playlists and new site: i hope everyone's doing well. i won't be on much this week cos i have two tests and an essay due in the next couple days. |

I caught it last night. Actually I've caught the last 2 or 3, and got into some new artists. I downloaded Ladytron's ''604'' because of your show. Dang that's a great track! There was one song last night, some instrumental thing... by ''Moon'' or something? Do you know what I'm talking about? It was too late for me to pay too much attention, I can't even remember what it sounds like... but I cursed myself missing when you announced the name. Alright, I'm being very vague (understatement), but did you play anything by someone with Moon in their name or something that rhymed with Moon? |

no one should listen if they don't want to. don't do it out of pity or obligation; i get plenty enjoyment out of just dj'ing and i don't need to have a certain number of people listening. so if you'd rather spend your monday nights listening to the same autechre and aphex twin cd's you've been listening to for the last few years than hear an interesting mix of diverse non-mainstream artists be my guest. |

I'm not listening out of obligation, I listen cuz you play some damn good stuff, that I wouldn't know about otherwise. Paula's got better taste than you, though. She picked all the good ones on Monday apparently. ;-) Sometimes a bit too much hip hop for my tastes, that's not my thing. But actually some hip hop tracks that I've heard on there really impressed me, I don't hear that kind of stuff otherwise. It's all Jay Z/Nelly crap, that's all I'm usually exposed to... |
