It's a pretty lackluster album. And his cover of ''Love Will
Tear Us Apart'' sucks horribly.

On the plus side, he got me into Joy Division because of it,
so I have to thank him for that!

''LWTUApart'' is a Joy Division song, dingbat! And it made
me curious to hear the real thing...

An-stromm-feck 4 is pretty fucking awesome, at least for a
bit, but the song goes nowhere... but it's by far my fave on
the album.

C'mon Tom and AE, put out some GREAT stuff, not this
inferior material! Yeesh.

Ophecks you calling me a "dingbat" heheheheheh

im personally not a fan of joy division or older depache
mode, they are both lame 80's electronic cheese

in my opinion, i do like depeche mode after the violator cd.

joy division, 80s electronic cheese? are you sure you're not
thinking of new order? JD were 'dead' at the start of the
decade and their material was never synth-pop.

His rapping was bizarre and interesting, something new, some
thing fresh, kinda hip hop kinda funky..........

hehe

At least he didnt go full out and have a straight up pop
album or something like that...... or an album with just
chamber music (but that would be kinda neat i think....) or
bluegrass....

I liked the new release, everything but the joy division
track

liked when he was rapping though... that was superFLY

The new album is ok, but nothing more. Track 1&4 is great,
the rest is mediocre IMO. But 10£ for a 31 min LP? I really
think it should be priced as an ep. Like Big Loada, or
Budakhan Mindphone.

Forgive me, cause I'm knew to the 'Pusher and I just bought
my second release by him the other day. That was Hard Normal

And today I listened to the new one in the store. It sounded
okay to me!

I love pusher
I'm a huge fan,...

I just feel that his new EP has pissed on all his true fans
that love his music.....

warp seem to be trying to make the pusher commercial.... BAD
MOVE.

pusher should stick to what he's best at, which is mad
drill/drum n bass...

his jazzy side is good, but DYKS is WANK*

*wank for squarepusher standards...

Hmmmm, it's not that bad IMO. I mean, the live disc is shit
and 30% of studio disc is filler, but at least 4 first
tracks are OK to me. Which is OK I guess if you don't pay a
double CD price

i would've thought you'd like the live disc :) the
production is not so good, i think

anyway, dyks the song may sound commercial (and what the
hell is wrong with that anyway???) the rest doesn't. the ep
does sound like leftovers from gp, but there are some decent
tracks on it.

besides, for a double disc, it's cheap as meho said

Well, yeah, my main two problems with the live CD is that
the sound is not too good which contributes to all the
little detail that makes those songs good being lost, as
well as the songs being very, very similar to album
versions, he tweaks them really minimally. Which is I guess
OK if you're at the actual gig, but not too hot if you
listen to the recording...

true, it's like a compilation of dyks and gp tracks.... some
of the later tracks are quite knobbed, though. and i like
the way he pushes the audience to go wild.

Meho; yep. Paid 10£ for just the vinyl. That's too much.
But I got me a 10" promo from "Music is rotted", wich is
nice. Is it true that the sound quality on the live-disc is
shitty?

Let me put it this way: if that live disk was a pirate
recording, it would have been an excellent pirate recording,
but this way, it's OK, but, as I said, the details are lost
and that's what makes most of those tracks good.
