i live in the high -desert.....i'm used to the heat. however i live in the mountains so it's always 10-15 degrees cooler......it's the bomb.....i have the windows open and it's cool fresh air coming in.......niiiice plus it's NOT humid.....ewwwwww |

High desert.... southwest area? I visited my grandma this summer... it was really awesome... she lives in Los Alamos , New Mexico... so its more Mountains.. not high desert but still a rockin little town! On top of that... thats where scientists invented the atomic bomb! People call it nuclear city... haha. Its hot as hell here in California though...... but people have to get used to it.... its all a part of global warming. And its going to be hot EVERYWHERE in about fifty years from now, ack... |

DOOD........i live in NEW MEXICO......ahhahah i know all aboot los alamos.....and NM is considered the HIGH DESERT! and yea......those labs are SCARY. oppenheimer is like my dream man (the physics GOD).....to bad i was born like 70 years too late. |

SupercOOl! My Uncle Jimmy is on the city council and he is the most brilliant/funny person I have ever met... we had a grand time. My uncle actually showed me around some parts of the lab.... geez... the security in there is nuts! I am going to head down there agian and do some sking, if there is ANY snow... but hopefully I can ski some on the local ski hill this christmas... do you ski any? |

yuppers i ski......since i was 13! didn't ski last year AT ALL.....terrible ski season. it's not supposed to be good this year either. have your uncle take you camping in the jemez......some of the most beautiful country......you'll see so many stars......you can put some in your pocket!! |

No my uncle has never taken to jemez yet... but we went to Bandalier and back backed which was fun! I wish that i had a ski team where i lived... cause its really fun! I am an avid star gazer (I would have majored in astronomy if they had more jobs out there for it)... New Mexico is a cool place though definatly. Especially when you have a grandma that cooks you freshly bakes cakes, pies and candies. :*) My grandma is really cool though, she likes selected ambient works and i care because you do (except ventolin). If I had it my way I would be living with her right now... but I have a scholarship and am bound to this school I am in currently! AAARRRGG! |
