it's the first piece of art that has been censored in sweden
ever. it's not that parts has been cut away, but you have to
be 15 to see it.

Thats not censour. It's only a age limit.

However i belive Chainsaw Massacre was cut here when it came
(70's ?) , and it is still talked about hehe.
Chainsaw Massacre is a fucking sick movie! its not the gore
, its the whole psychotic mood of the film that is
dissturbing.

There is a "hardcore" closeup, but it's very brief and if
you blinked you'd miss it.

Im going tomorow (free from work) , Raimons will be going a
second time with me.

Btw. they haven't censoured anything , its just an 15 age
limit , but still that is the first time that has hapened to
an art exhibition here so it has gotten some media
attention.
The problem is that its video art so the same rules as for
cinema applies apparently.
They are looking into it now to see if changes needs to be
done to the laws etc.

The reviews hasen't been that good iether ,for example
they don't consider the All is ful of love video to be real
art cus its a music video.
I found that strange cus i thought art critics where suposed
to consider everything art and be really open minded ?
They did say he had some skills with the camera though.
Old farts!!

Cool......sido.....save your REVIEW for XLTRONIC if .NU is
down!

it's not too surprising.....it's takes decades for some
forms of ART to be considered forms of art! and you're right
some OLD farts will never look at music video's in that
way.

i'm curious about the age requirement. i thought that sweden
was a pretty open society about things like art?

Yeah that age limit is really strange.
I have seen far far more excplicit art then Flex here.
For example one artist did stuff that was practicly child
pornografy and it got alot of angry voices and media
attention but it did not get censoured or anything.
Acourding to Raimons flex is shown in a cinema like
enviroument on a big screen(cool!!!) and not like a
traditional video artpiece.
Some smart ass must have realised "hey! this is a movie!"
cus even here there are age limits to movies. I find this
kind of restrictions pointless .
I wonder if anyone under 15 would have shown up anyways???
